Andy, Buywell. If a slew of BTL houses come onto the market I am sure it will be largely good news for Purp. The Purp model will appeal to landlords and more stock equals more listings. And it won't be Purp losing out if they don't sell, it will be CW who will suffer if transactions fall.

I really think anyone shorting should be focusing on Purp itself and the foreign ventures. If you think the UK market is going to go lower you are better off shorting the traditional agents or the house price index imo.

No wonder rog is dismissing your posts, it's like a dog barking at the wrong tree.

The other issue is once a landlord sells his property and presumably gets a cash lump sum. What will they do with the money ? Most people arent naturally happy with the stock market, and they have nowhere else to put their money for any type of return. Get pretty much zero in the bank so property is the best means to get a regular monthly income. Once they sell that stops.
So i dont think it is all doom and gloom.
