Sometimes rumours can be true, but equally they can be false and started by someone keen to increase the share price. I'd guess in this case it was false. Believe in facts, AIMBagger, but treat rumours with caution. Rumours are often false and spread by pumpers and dumpers. Share prices go up on news and speculation.
