Yes it will be and that Octugenarian Prof Conroy is much smarter than O'Reilly and Barrett from Goodbodys so it could be 4th time lucky for a deal between Ireland and Asia....

You'd have thought that Goodbody's shareholders would have been scared off after the 1st deal fell through. It will be interesting to see how Conroy Gold get on with their potential new Asian partners as per their RNS today.

Druid, You only have to look at Goodbody's 2 recent aborted deals with Chinese outfits to understand that China is not exactly the first call for reliability. I wont even start on a rant about their Court System...................

Just for interest does anyone actually know any financial details or history about SpotOn?

The moment he staked his reputation on it the fat lady reached her highest note. In reality I suspect that JIC pulled the funding and walked away the moment the first site survey was challenged. Only took TOR a year to figure that out. Picked up a nice salary during that period though!

Druid, What cloud was the tanned one living on? Bet The Chinese were all rolling around the floor laughing their asses off when TOR's mid Atlantic twang was put on speakerphone......

Agree Herm. I think that it will be a similar structure to the APEC deal with a more realistic work programme to get to early development.

Ceph, PVR have 80% (minus SLEs net profit interest) and LOGP 20%. I'd want something upfront as well as a free carry for giving up 75% of Barryroe.

The advantage of taking a low % would be to free up capital for M&A opportunities for Providence. The new team must know of many such opportunities.

If PVR give up half of their holding, so too would LOGP. Similarly, if PVR only retain 20%, LOGP will only retain 5%. My view is that should it be that low, it will be a free carry and staged profit sharing.

Why would logp give up 5% but over nothing?

Herm imo 40% of something is better than 80% of nothing.

I assume from Alan Linns response that he was being asked by Anderson about the percentage PVR would retain and Percival from the ie has decided to go with Andersons worst case scenario, but as Alan stated nothing has yet been agreed.

Could be 40%, that's what the previous FO was based on. That would be incredible

Where have you got 20% from? Percentage retained hasn't been confirmed yet. Could be 30-35%!
