If they can get the survey and farmout completed earlier than expected then it's a possibility. More likely late summer I think.

San Leon Energy have revalued their interest in Barryroe using current PVR share price as their barometer. We are a one trick pony now....

Great news for #LOGP and #PVR. The site survey has passed the EIA assessment and ready to be rubber stamped by DCCAE

From LOGP's results this morning:Lord Torrington, Independent Non-Executive Chairman, commented :"2019 has proved another challenging year for the Company, however, the Board remains steadfast in its belief of the significant potential of Barryroe and is focused on unlocking its inherent value. The Board has been encouraged by the new Farm-Out campaign initiated in the fourth quarter of 2019 that has received a positive response from industry and we are now in detailed discussions with a potential counterparty that has been given a period of exclusivity in order to agree an appraisal work programme and develop commercial terms with the aim of concluding a binding Farm-Out agreement. In addition to the challenges the Company already faced, the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic has impacted the entire global economy, resulting in a dramatic reduction in oil and gas consumption and a collapse in their prices. In time the world will need to go back to work and oil and gas demand, and prices, will recover and this process is already underway. We believe Barryroe remains an attractive opportunity, with substantial established oil and gas resources, in shallow water, close to existing infrastructure and with a low break-even price, estimated by the operator Providence to be c. $26/bbl.The environmental concerns regarding oil and gas will not go away, but the evaluation of Carbon Capture and Storage options to accompany Barryroe development offers a responsible way to take the project forward whilst minimizing the carbon footprint.Ireland will require diverse, cost effective and secure energy supplies as it rebuilds its economy and Barryroe can play an important role in this.

AIM, The associated gases and carbon capture could add nicely to that titillating figure.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the PVR share price above 10p again before SpotOn announce the members of their (fabled?) consortium, ContraryMary. Are they to be announced in October? I don't believe a farm out of Barryroe will happen (after all it's almost 50 years since Barryroe was first discovered), but that's just my opinion and far more optimistic others will, like you, disagree.

I must admit to being tempted to having a punt on PVR & LOGP back in March (sell offs due to panic are invariably overdone and share prices quickly rebound more often than not), but I no longer dabble in oil shares. Those that did buy back then have done exceptionally well. I reckon a punt on PVR/LOGP now will likely bring good short term rewards for those who still dabble in AIM listed oil shares. It will all depend on good news being issued by the Irish government in the short term.

PS. Wealthy investors often buy shares, but hedge their big bets by the use of CFD's. I'm not saying SpotOn have done that, but the possibility can't be totally ignored.

PPS I'm not surprised by the rising PVR share price After all it's being ramped non stop by the likes of AIMbagger (on advfn & lse) and Delboi (on the lse) and others on social media.

I do believe things are much different now. Alan Linn seems to know what he is doing which is a massive positive. Spoton may or may not come on board, but the £500,000 that they have invested is a very positive indicator. I would hate to have missed the boat if everything comes good. The share price is still very good value given the incredible potential.

The PVR share price is going up on speculative buying rather like it did back in 2018 on the back of the proposed APEC consortium farm in. That proposed farm in finance failed to materialise despite all the hopeful RNS's last summer!! Will the SpotOn promises go the same way as the failed APEC promises, or will they deliver on their promises? Watch this space. The gamblers are placing their bets.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the PVR/LOGP sp's take off on the issuance of good news and perform as well as in 2018 on the back of speculative buying. 2018 highs are definitely within reach before the expected crunch announcement of whether the SpotOn consortium exists, or not.

I reckon the crunch will come when the share price comes up against resistance at this years closing high of circa 4.25p achieved in January. A close above that would be bullish for the share price
