pap - it's the Irish version of the National Trust, though why their remit extends to open seas well out of sight of land beats me!

I'm not Irish so know nothing about this organisation, but I very much doubt their objections will affect the development of Barryroe. After all the farm in deal has been approved by both the Irish & Chinese governments. However Barryroe could be the first and last Irish offshore oil field to actually produce oil. I think you could be correct, GoM, in favouring LOGP over PVR.

Yeah...Luddites I call em. They'd rather see the country mired in poverty for generations than see a few whales develop an ear-ache from the seismic. And most of these punters are holed up in their mini-chatuau in D4/D6 areas.

The time for an this email to make this objection is now expired so the best of luck with that one. Concentrate on the origin of coving for some castle and step aside. Government consent is given. Sometimes one has a window of 4 weeks after consent. This now passed. Nothing to worry about. Sanders and Cardigan brigade at it again

Herm. Been looking at the past history here of An Taisce....they've been opposing just about every single drill ever to take place in Ireland, and have not had any success. No reason to think they'll do any damage this time round.

piece in sunday business post...Providence Resources faces challenge,,,An Taisce seeks review of drill licences...it goes on to say its seeking permission for a judicial review,it has brought an exparte motion against the state due in court next week.. Tony says last friday was the first he heard of it,seems to concern licences off the cork coast...AN Taisce say it believes various laws ,planning and environmental regulations havent been followed in relation to licences granted by the government to providence to drill for oil off the cork coast.. Tony say he has just been made aware of the move and the company is looking into it.... THIS IS ONLY A SYNOPSIS OF ARTICLE , SO PLEASE CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF....

Road, Must be that or was he squeezing out a wee raspberry? Wouldnt be against involvement with T5 as Plunkett and his former Tullow team have winner's veneer written all over them.

the little smirk from ToR at 12.54 is interesting, what could he mean!

"The Irish Times has learned that the company, led by executive chairman Pat Plunkett, who chaired Tullow Oil between 2000 and 2011, has been holding talks in recent months with firms that could privately take a stake in T5. Another alternative could see T5 merge with another business."

Could this be why ToR gave a little smirk.

O'Reilly has been mentioning the possibility of returning to drilling overseas. Always a good idea to be geographically diversified. Could Providence buy T5 with paper?

Logp are still the market gain leader though post Sep 20 Farm in improved deal news. Still 70% higher and for a short time at 100% premium.
