All 3 PSVs due back Aberdeen c.1 Sept. Skandi Flora rehired immediately to Statoil. Allowing for abandonment, won't be long now.

.................

I think folk are reading too much in to this post. Why would PVR still need three platform supply vessels on standby when TD will be reached long before 1st September?

If the odds are increasing then that means it's becoming less likely.

any view on the costs of the drill. If the costs are 42m then PVR will earn the 5m as communicated. If the drill is quicker and cheaper - eg. 31-32m then PVR will earn 10m!

They estimated 38 days for druid and 24 for drombeg. If it's a duster like the odds are increasing we will hear something next week.

I am wondering which event will occur first. The MCAP getting below cash or the drillbit getting below Drombeg ?

Could still be another 20 days until Drombeg results are known. If it is a duster, the rns will come quickly, just as with Druid. It seems that the longer it takes the more likely they are analysing oil shows. Hope for no news til the end of August at least.

The Flora and Frende are both by the rig and don't seem to be moving on yet, Sjoborg at Cork, you would expect PSVs to go back and forth, all is still to hope for. At the rate this rig works they could fit in an appraisal drill on Barryroe before September.

tsmith2,

Yes, I agree, pageant are not buying in because of TOR, but the assets. They will work to extract value, which likely means removal of TOR. I reckon the shareprice would rerate if they removed him. A bit like detaching a massive anchor from a small vessel - it will then start drifting along.

There are loads of lower risk smallcap oil companies out there with good assets, credible management and not far from oil production, some already producing. Taking into account marketcap and activity timelines, my favourites are sdx, aaog, i3e, angs and zen. Low caps relative to oil production, cashflow and C2/P2 assetbase.

I don't understand why folk go for high-risk make-or-break gambles like PVR. They have no production assets to fallback on in case of failure and their cashpile will again start to dwindle. Each to their own.
