Please chutes, that would be lovely.
I seem to remember it was called the "five pound party".
Those were the days. |
Yes i'm fully aware of that but it was still a RECORD year for revenue and profits.
FY2025 will easily beat those numbers. |
>52 If I recall correctly, the 2022 result extravaganza was due to a TMT milestone payment. i.e. irregular income. Yours etc suffolk/mashman |
Shall I bring the caviar ? |
Remember the days when it was to be vodka and caviar? |
vol-au-vents? |
Anyone for a 50p party? |
Indeed the TU was very upbeat , trading was very strong for H2 of 2024 and they said that services orders have been carried over in to 2025 and even 2026.
The management are very optimistic that business can deliver substantial increases in revenue and returns in the future.
The buying of THREE mass spectrometers suggests that the company is anticipating trading in 2025 to be very strong compared to FY2022 when they generated their highest ever revenue in a financial year of £7.78m and a Profit After tax of £1.33m.
I'm looking forward to the management's outlook on 2025.
Share price will certainly be North of 10p when the company announces a more detailed trading update. |
😂😂-I first invested in 1999 when we called Electrophoretics .Dong expect to be still invested in 2( years -although my kids might |
Great to see some names from the past still here. |
Trading update was very positive & it will be interesting to see the year end trading update ,which should be published soon ,& whether they issue any guidance for 2025.40% up on Friday is impressive but long way back to 200p + which I sold some at eons ago ! |
The company's shares have under performed over the last year and half and will now rerate substantially higher just like they did in 2025.
The rise yesterday is just the start.
8p to 10p before the full year results and i would NOT rule out 15p to 20p in 2025 due to the strong growth the company is experiencing. |
NEWARK, Del, Jan. 09, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The global proteomics market is set for remarkable expansion, with projections indicating a market value of USD 44.79 billion in 2025. Anticipated to grow at a robust compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.7% from 2025 to 2035, the market is expected to reach USD 134.82 billion by 2035.
A proteome is the complete set of proteins produced by a system or organism. It can transform based on the time, specifications, and stresses that an organism is confined to. Proteomic research refers to the systematic study of proteins on a large scale. Because proteins are the fundamental units of cells, proteomic research aims to answer all questionnaires about them.
Breakthroughs in mass spectrometry and proteins and DNA sequence databases can assist proteomics research. Proteomics requires a wide range of instruments, machinery, reagents, media, and software for protein identification, quantitative determination, and recognition of protein interactions.
Which Factors Are Driving The Growth Of The Proteomics Market?
Continued growth for personalized medicine, technical progress, and innovation, as well as enhanced funding opportunities from both the public and private sectors for proteomics, are among the most crucial driving factors in the proteomics industry.
Because the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical markets are expanding rapidly, the clamor for proteomics has accelerated. Furthermore, the global industry is anticipated to expand rapidly in the coming decades as an outcome of technological advancements, extensive research funding, escalating healthcare costs, rising numbers for tailored medication, and price inflation of genetic illnesses.
Another factor expected to propel overall growth is the higher incidence of chronic diseases such as cancer, Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs), respiratory diseases, CKD, and others. As per Globocan, there were 19.3 million new cancer patients and 10 million cancer-related deaths globally in December 2020. Similarly, CVDs are among the world's most prevalent causes of death.
"Proteomics is a rapidly evolving field with immense potential across a broad spectrum of industries. Its applications in early disease detection and personalized medicine will play a key role in reshaping the future of healthcare, Furthermore, proteomics holds the promise to drive innovations in agriculture, contributing to enhanced crop resilience and improved global food production. As technological advancements continue to fuel these developments, the proteomics market is poised for exceptional growth over the next decade," says |
Market Growth: The global proteomics market is expected to reach USD 44.79 billion by 2025 and grow at a robust CAGR of 11.7%, which is projected to reach USD 134.82 billion by 2035.
Europe:
The UK proteomics market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.1%, driven by government-backed academic initiatives such as the UK Biobank project and a focus on personalised medicine. |
The recovery which started in H2 of 2024 will gather momentum in 2025.
From the recent rns:
Based on the considerable increase in customer orders and services in the second half of the year, we are optimistic that our proteomics business can deliver substantial increases in revenue and returns in the future.

Note the wording " deliver SUBSTANTIAL increases in revenue "
During the latter part of 2024 the company purchased TWO mass spectrometers due to substantial increase in services orders to provide additional capacity but was still NOT enough to satisfy the strong demand and the company said last month that they will buy a new Exploris mass spectrometer. |

An offer would not succeed at anything like this price. |
The pre Xmas update was certainly positive & there has been some improved demand for the shares on the back of it. I’m keen to understand the 2024 FY numbers but as importantly the forward looking statement. If all of that confirms a more positive trading environment then we may well see a share price above my initial target of 6p. W41 |
Z1CO sounds keen |
The TMTpro 35plex tags which launched in June resulted in a significant increase in orders and should stimulate new publications that demonstrate the outstanding performance of the tags and their utility, which should further improve uptake and usage. Good progress is being made with the Company's new multiplexed DIA tags, with discussions underway with a shortlisted group of prospective licensees expected to conclude in H1 2025. The Company is also processing its first commercial orders in single cell proteomics (SCP) and the outcomes are awaited with great interest. |

In all this excitement , almost missed your post
Thanks for input. |
Just like the share price rise in 2023 , we could see 5.5p to 6p before a small retrace and then another rise towards 8p to 9p.
Does Mr Market knows something we don't ?
If trading 2025 is better than expectations, then share price will breach 10p by the time they announce full year results and could even surpass 20p during this calendar year. |
