Thanks for that Melton, I think that about sums up my position as well. There seems to be very little downside, and further additions may be in the pipeline. A solid investment.

Hi stewpot, having dropped just 4% after a decent rise I'm not expecting any serious pull back. I think this is a keeper (and I think others do too) in a core sector of the economy and wish I hadn't reduced before the merger was announced. I think there will be more benefits of scale given time but that's just an opinion. Nothing to back that up other than recent presentations that I've watched. I've held BLV for about 5 years having had dealings with a lot of companies when moving to a new area. The so called competition were rubbish and the more I looked the more I liked it. Same goes for TPMG. Hoping for 100% gain soon.

Very quiet here. Anyone any views on where the share price is headed? Seems to be drifting a little, although there appears to be good trading volume.

No doubt there will be more of these bolt-ons in the future. Lovely business model, and in the long term, a takeover target for some huge corporate would be my guess.

That looks like a cracking deal - materially earnings enhancing at the low point in the property cycle - hopefully.

Big moves over the last few days. No obvious reason as to why.

They were on the Mello results show last week

Considering the year was a challenge for the property market, I'm happy that BLV's new partner managed to even slightly improve on last year. They seem to have used the time well while not so busy, in improving efficiency and working the BLV deal. Looking forward to a trading statement on the combined entity.

think the update reads well
- a bit 'rampy' in parts though with figures only a very marginal advance.

The BLV share price was certainly not as frisky, I feel this one's going to be a bit like a roller coaster ride.

Wonder if recent weakness is due to some ex BLV holders selling out? They were both great businesses and expect the combination to do well. Should also benefit from any future pick up in housing market activity, to complement the recurring rental revenue stream. As a larger company, should also come onto the radar of more institutions which should boost the share price over time.

I'll break the tumbleweed. I held BLV in size and now a happy holder of merged TPFG.

hxxps://archive.is/XXdvJ shows that rents are on the up everywhere but particularly in Scotland and that will be good for TPFG.

PRSP had a good update today again showing rents up. Property sales still recovering but lacklustre.

MAB1 reported decent outlook but challenging market.

I prefer the rental franchise model to the rental REITs because they use a lot less capital and you are buying a share of a bunch of well motivated small private franchise owners. I also think its easier for them to grow by buying up private rental businesses and absorbing them into the brands. It's a nice rollup that way.

It looks as if everyone left after TPFG and BLV merged.
I'm a long termish (5yrs) BLV holder now holding TPFG and surprised to find nothing here since Nov 23.
Is there another thread?
