Looks like a great buy to me with the UK economy about to re-open and a vibrant property market likely to follow. Hunters also seems to be a very carefully managed business-so high hopes for the combined entity.

Trying to work out the logic of a bid for Hunters. It’s not like it is lowly rated.

There is obviously a fairly aggressive seller. Can anyone suggest a reason why they might be selling?

The Property Franchise Group (TPFG) FY18 results overview by Ian Wilson

Good set of results in spite of market backdrop. Rev up 11%, and profit up 19.4% if you strip out one off exceptional gain, FY17. Robust balance sheet. CEO is very bullish about the market and where TPFG sits.

I thought it was very telling the way the main two directors were selling all their shares having cashed their options. It is also interesting that only Richard Martin from this company is being invited onto the merged board. I smell a fall out on strategy after the sheep deal went so badly wrong IMHO.

I strongly favour a merger. Size and resources is very important to get the web-based service to critical mass.

Not many contributors on here. Just the 2 it seems. 1 for the merger and 1 against.

I disagree and think shareholders should be ripping Belvours right arm off to accept this. This give large holders a chance to exit at the present market cap.

In a few years time things will look very different and this may well be trading at fractions of what it is now. After all don't forget they paid stupid money to get Ewemove. This was on the face of it a loss making start-up with large liabilities and zero assets other than a stationary cupboard full of letterheads and fancy cardboard wallets with furry sheep printed on them.

When all this goodwill has to be written off things won't look so good and they will have to start drastically cost cutting.

I agree with the company (TPFG). This offer is definitely not in the best interests of shareholders.

After the stupid sums paid for that ewemove franchise basically a business with zero assets and a made nuts goodwill valuation to the moon, iys going to be a long painful slippery slope downwards for shareholders.Little wonder directors were cashing in earlier in the year when the shares were a lot higher.
