Wondering whether the insurance in place covers not only the fire damage itself, but also compensates for the reduced oil production at the Puesto Flores field over the past several weeks that only came about because of the fire.

Spot on Brasso there are 30% odd tariffs on soya at the moment, any attempt to side step the controls will result in problems. This ship is sinking

PPC has told the market multiple times in the past that it is not exposed to the Argentine Peso as it gets paid in $ and holds the money in $. If we were receiving/ holding Pesos we would not be able to declare $17m revenue for H1 2022 as the Peso has halved in that time period.

You suggestion to by quinoa is beyond stupid but this is the PPC thread so I am not surprised.

This has turned into a huge disappointment and Peter Levine hasn't done much for his reputation or legacy. Very costly for all small private investors especially.
At least Private Frazer is in his element.

The Argenitian govt is just trying to stabilise Peso. When there is a high inflation, people try to invest in harder currencies, which furher depreciates the local currency. So PPC can take out Peso as much as it wants, but it cannot covert Peso to USD and take the USD out. When Russia demanded payment for gas in roubles, RUB value almost double.

PPC should use Peso to buy local high goods (e.g. quinoa), export goods and sell them for Yuans. The Bod just needs to think outside the box.

Hi Brasso, at least something! So it's not going down in price at least!!.But seriously, they put their money into the wells, into Argentina. Argentina gets the tax.What does the company get? Just silly. It's not like they are just taking money out (a la Roche protecting themselves) they have put money in here! Crazy.

They get paid in $ for oil/ gas but are not allowed to move it out of the country due to capital controls. The revenue looks like a $, smells like a $ but cannot be used like a $!

Out of interest when the restriction on moving capital out come into play?Why would anyone drill an oil well. If they get paid in a currency with 100% inflation and can't get the money out? or change it into something stable?

Doesn't seem possible, but PPC's 28% holding in ATOM is currently worth about half of the entire current PPC market valuation.

ATOM, thus far, has turned out to be an obvious success.

Hoping any new alternative energy businesses created will be listed in a market away from AIM.

Should be a management priority to inform the general market as soon as possible.
