PTSG AWARDED NEW HEATHROW CONTRACT

Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has been awarded a contract to carry out a range of tests at London Heathrow Airport.

PTSG’s fall arrest teams will provide testing and inspection services at Terminal 2 of the UK’s premier international airport. Skilled operatives from the company’s Access and Safety division will carry out work to test anchor points for systems that ensure the safety of those working at height and undertaking maintenance work at the airport. A statutory inspection of anchor points at T2’s Plaza Premium Lounge will also be undertaken.

The work will provide optimal safety for Heathrow’s people and will be carried out to avoid any interruption of the day-to-day operations at this busy terminal.

PTSG’s fall arrest teams have provided testing and inspection services with MITIE at Heathrow Airport for over three years. PTSG has designed and installed innovative mansafe systems at the airport and access solutions provided by the company are helping to maintain the airport’s leading worldwide status.

He means KWS (Keywords Studios), who had results ahead of expectations today and who also have a very active acquisitions policy (much more active than PTSG).

IDEA and ACSO are other companies who have superb records of integrating acquisitions.

I find that well-run companies also tend to acquire other good companies and rarely have problems. PTSG are another example in this space.

have to hope your appraisal is right; recent events show the combination of acquisitions, few tangible assets and slow collection of debts is nevertheless high risk? though they have been successful thus far.
keywords, results today, seem also to be pulling it off.

rivaldo is right, CEO Paul Teasdale is hugely impressive. I have heard him described as a "force of nature" and I would agree with that sentiment based on the times I have met him.

They've all been extremely successful to date, and their run-rate of acquisitions isn't particularly huge - just enough to keep the pot boiling.

Besides, having met the CEO I can be pretty sure that he is extremely shrewd.....

Operatives from BEST will install a new lightning protection system at the new home of Tottenham Hotspur in north London, to protect visitors and building users in the event of a lightning strike. The new stadium, built on the site of the former White Hart Lane which was demolished at the end of the 2016-17 season, will have a capacity of 61,559 with a 17,500 single-tier home southern stand.

PTSG have just noted the following, which would add hugely to even that "unprecedented" demand:



"London Assembly report calls for mandatory sprinkler installations in UK buildings

A new report released by the London Assembly’s Planning Committee has outlined recommendations for making the installation of Automatic Fire Suppression Systems including sprinklers mandatory in all new-build residential developments above 18 metres in height.

The report, called ‘Never Again: Sprinklers as the next step in fire safety’, has been drawn up in response to the recent Grenfell Tower tragedy, and states that “London cannot afford to ignore the deadly consequences of failing to protect its buildings from fire”.

Published by the London Assembly’s Navin Shah AM, the report calls for a risk-based, phased, ‘road map’ towards making sprinklers mandatory in all homes in England. This includes the recommendation that “Building Regulations should require all new residential buildings over 18 metres – 6 storeys – high, new care homes and sheltered housing be fitted with sprinklers immediately.” It also recommends the retrofitting of sprinklers in all existing tall buildings, care homes and sheltered housing.

The London Assembly report follows Dame Judith Hackitt’s Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety, which is due to release its final report in Spring 2018.

Busy in Q4 caused some increase in debtors but generally its too high and a concern especially when owed by developers who are notorious for non/part payment.

Otherwise well run growing business.
