20/3/2021 21:25 | Stanley, I'll DM you next time, I didn't realise such a question would bring out the crazy nuts, lol! Crazy/nutty, How much does the North Sea oil and gas industry contribute to the UK's GDP and more importantly to the revenue received by HMRC? Please get your facts right. London and the South East do disproportionately add to the UK economy so prop up Scotland, Wales, NI and many other parts of the UK, I wasn't having a pop at Scotland I was asking for a native's view on the leader of the Scottish parliament who is responsible for spending the cash Westminster gives her on top of what she gets, or not as the case may be, from the oil industry given she has misled her own parliament. What is Scotland's budget deficit as a percentage of their GDP? Good luck with independence! Enjoy your weekend. | andypop1
20/3/2021 15:05 | "England funding Scotland", thats the biggest pile of BS I have heard in a long time. We kept you going with oil revenues for last 45 years give or take and you squandered it allowing all your manufacturing to be beaten into the ground, buying foreign imports instead. You are just run by call centres and financial services. Little else but we'll soon be shot of you. | brazilnut1
20/3/2021 15:02 | Agreed - have a nice day :-) | crazi
20/3/2021 15:01 | Stan - like I said - it was the people who voted - not the SNP. You are hung up over a political party and can't see the wood for the trees! You seem to miss that point greatly. And yes - if 3 countries, albeit smaller populations, vote one way then get rolled over by one country who is bigger - there is something wrong with the policy! Your opinion will never count! Might as well try it on your own! | crazi
20/3/2021 15:00 | agree, enough politics, i will let you have the last word if you want it ;) | stansmith3
20/3/2021 14:58 | strongest party, but still a minorityif you like it so much, come up here and pay the additional tax, you get grey skies and rain most days for free | stansmith3
20/3/2021 14:57 | craziso youre saying the uk should have stayed in because tiny populations in scotland and wales wanted to stay? surely not - tail wagging the dog....britain staying in europe is a british decision, if youre part of the uk you abide by british decisions....as i said its independence above all with these nutjobs, dont like being told what to do by westminster, but want to be told by europe....a little ironic | stansmith3
20/3/2021 14:51 | crazithe snp has the most seats and air time, however you can achieve that with 40% of the vote or less and thats after you skew it with impressionable 16 year olds who dont contribute fiscallyvoters against independence vote for various parties, they only come together at referendums the snp were trounced in the last referendumtactical voting can rid scotland of these nutjobs, lets hope it takes hold | stansmith3
20/3/2021 14:41 | It's not the SNP Government voting. It's the people. It's also the people who voted the SNP in to power, many times now, based upon their goals and by very large proportions. That's democracy... Same as how N.Ireland, Scotland and Wales all voted to stay in Europe but had to leave because England have the bigger vote... 3 out of 4 countries vote to stay and yet they have to leave... questionable democracy worth supporting. Brexit - right or wrong... it is what it is... but maybe everyone is also sick of always having to do what England wants. It's a stacked pack - you can't win. | crazi
20/3/2021 14:37 | crazii am scottish and have always lived in scotlandand whilst i agree we dont know for sure what will happen, those are my honest views, these people do not want the best for scotland, they want independence above all else | stansmith3
20/3/2021 10:49 | well the roof has not fallen in in the uk post brexitscotland will collapse | stansmith3
20/3/2021 07:50 | is that they want to force their solution on the half of scotland that does not want it and wont be represented in the final solution Same as BREXIT. | richalert
20/3/2021 07:00 | richthe big difference though, as much as brexit divides the uk is that the solution had something for everyonecurrently scotland has something for everyone, being part of the uk with local govt having significant control, taxes are much higher here, prescriptions are free, care homes are highly subsidised....howeve | stansmith3
20/3/2021 05:41 | Stansmith. Sounds a bit like BREXIT. | richalert
20/3/2021 00:43 | 40k Andy 5 % up a great share to trade in and out You need to watch and learn or in your case find a back bone | markymar
19/3/2021 22:58 | andy as unbelievable as it sounds..lol..i immediately change channel if the scurge comes on the snp were nowhere until labour collapsed, they are afforded so much media attention just by being the single biggest party and being propped up by the greens of course they use this platform to blame westminster, take the opposite point view or score points whenever they can the really sad thing is most scots are proud to be british and regard england as our greatest friend, we fought in the same trenches to save the world... the snp want the english to confuse nationalists and scots and they are good at it, with their continual moaning most english now say, if the scots want to go, let them go, only its the nats that want to go.. as for the salmond situation she has already dismissed the committee as partisan, you cant make it up they want to divide scotland and im sure they will manage | stansmith3
19/3/2021 22:45 | Stanley, It could be or of course it could be the start of the much promised short squeeze, lol! As a Scottish national what do you make of the fishy business with Sturgeon and Salmon? As an Englishman living in the Southeast funding Scotland that woman grates on me, she needs to be held accountable for (deliberately?) misleading the Scottish parliament and reminded of the limited power she holds. Rant over, good luck. | andypop1
19/3/2021 21:10 | On a more serious note there were some very large off book and off market trades reported after the close. Just a thought, would some of the more respectable creditors have some corporate governance in place to prevent them forward selling their entitlement of creditor shares until all the T's were crossed and the I's were dotted? The Scottish court hearing today was the final I. Good luck. | andypop1
19/3/2021 20:36 | Marky, That's what Shaf told us to do yesterday, how did that work out? | andypop1
19/3/2021 16:12 | 50% retrace from recent highs... seems cheap. I'm in for a punt :-) | crazi |
