Oilretire,
If you look on the EnQuest board you'll see it for a fourth time!
It doesn't show on my tablet or phone.
Any views on where I have gone wrong?

Becky,
Can you help?

Similar Capex this year, higher Opex ?

Today's close gives us an share price that's still 45% down on the 52 week high after what seems like a good update. Let's hope for a more favourable response in the coming weeks.

Banning is certainly a way to go and would need to be extended to all stocks outside the FTSE100.But a system requiring full disclosure of Financial institutions providing shorting facilities and requiring them to obtain the consent of, and disclose the name of, shareholders allowing shorting of their shares held would be a more powerful tool.

That would have to be SOME Zama news Sean......

Fundamentals and details specific to PMO have ZERO influence on the share price. It's all about 'sentiment' don't you know.

Should reach that even without that news, results were positive and bargain hunter investors are returning st these levels.

A close above 80p, would be bullish

Steve thanks for the link and the calculation on split between oil and gas.

Geordy followed company since 1983 when we had 'Consolidated' in name. Attended AGMs in the 1990's when Roland Shaw was exec Chairman/ CEO. Ball & Collins new one to me!

The company has a sound overall strategy that appears to be working well. With a single-digit P/E ratio able to command a higher valuation.

2018 total production was 80.5kboe/d, or 29.3 MM boe/yr. Sales Revenue was $1438MM, so average sales price was just $49/boe. Just $4/boe above the quoted breakeven - or $116MM of FCF, excl. disposals.

The Oil was sold at $63.5/bbl (post hedges), so total sales were at 49/63.5 or 77% of post hedge average oil sales price.

For 2019, 40% of Oil is hedged this year at $69/bbl. Gas hedges are higher than last year. If we assume the total sales again realize 77% of hedged oil price, then average sales price could be around $53/boe, or $8/boe above BE ($45/bbl), giving some $224MM of FCF to pay down debt during 2019.

Obviously, if our breakeven is lower, or the sales price of the unhedged oil & gas is higher, then our FCF increases... All other things remaining equal.

Even if they only get 50% of Catcher it still means that they have declining production, I remember a few years ago before Encore had even appraised Catcher , PMO were pontificating about raising production to ~ 100k boepd. By the way I have watched PMO ever since the days of Roland Shaw, when the company was originally named Ball & Collins. Anyone care to guess when that was ?

bp... post ...993
Oil was sold at $63/bbl average post hedge (hedges are higher this year), and not all of our production is oil... around 65% IIRC (without going into the details) - the gas sells for a lot less (I'm struggling to convert from p/therm or $/mmscf to $/BOE).... but less revenue than you have assumed.

Need also to consider interest on debt, and tax in your simple balance
