09/4/2007 08:37 | riv, There you go, you've done it again....lol.... Off for a midweek break, will try and pop in if I get chance. tiltonboy | tiltonboy
09/4/2007 08:29 | LOL! Sorry, tiltonboy - will try harder in future! I was hoping to start a new thread, but I'm a bit busy today so it'll probably have to wait a bit. | rivaldo
09/4/2007 08:23 | riv, That's the same article you posted on 6th March!!! There's that much news at the moment, you can't remember some of the past articles. Just one request... can you not post unless you are posting a link to some news. When I hit the favourites button, and see that rivaldo has posted on PDT, I get all excited(sad really), and it's a disappointment when there's no news.... tiltonboy | tiltonboy
09/4/2007 08:13 | Hvs, if I hadn't already ISAd a load of PDT I'd be piling in. For investors with a bit of patience and who can see the lack of downside and huge upside then this imho is an ideal investment. The institutions can certainly see it, there's no mistaking that given the raft of them who've now got most of the shares. As well as ZBD, a summary of another world-leading investee here - note the way DisplayLink will "change the way we look at our computer monitors", and particularly the last sentence about the next generation of products... "Friday, April 06, 2007 British firm helping shape the future of computer displays This one sneaked in under the radar last week, but a medium-sized company from Cambridge, England, called DisplayLink has landed a significant contract with Toshiba that is almost certain to change the way we look at our computer monitors. The contract sees DisplayLink's technology powering Toshiba's latest Dynadock range of laptop PC docks to enable them to deliver high-resolution images to full-size monitors via a USB 2.0 connection. The £129.00 Dynadock PA3542E-1PRP that's available now in the UK plugs into a single USB 2.0 port on a laptop. It can drive a monitor up to 1680 x 1050 pixels while simultaneously powering a sound system and standard USB peripherals and while powering phones, PDAs and the like. The advantage of the USB method is initially in reducing cable clutter by cutting out the standard VGA lead monitors have always used, but the next generation of DisplayLink technology is the one to look out for, as it will use wireless USB to drive displays with no cables at all." | rivaldo
08/4/2007 10:24 | Nice spot riv, Think over a 2 year view we will have a very good return here. Top up time again ? | hvs
08/4/2007 09:21 | Ta hvs, yep, Polatis seems to be thriving. More news - ZBD's fundraising is featured in today's Sunday Times. Interesting - these things don't appear without a reason. Perhaps ZBD are gearing up for something - an IPO? Or it could just be for a bit of profile-raising. Whichever, the list of clients is rather impressive now: "Price-display firm expands A COMPANY that has developed a form of electronic paper for use by store chains to help them update prices more efficiently has raised $20m to help it expand. ZBD Displays counts several leading retailers among its clients, including Tesco, DSG and John Lewis. The firm's technology allows stores to install electronic price tags on shelves. These labels can be controlled remotely and wirelessly, and can be adjusted at individual shops or across a whole chain of stores. The electronic tags allow retailers to change prices frequently to compete with online stores" | rivaldo
05/4/2007 12:18 | Hi rivaldo, Some good news from Polatis where PDT have a good stake : [March 13, 2007] Polatis expands salesforce [Polatis Inc] (Total Telecom Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) APPOINTMENTS ADDRESS GROWING DEMAND FOR OPTICAL SWITCH TECHNOLOGY Billerica, MA., Cambridge, UK March 13, 2007 Polatis Inc., the worlds leading manufacturer of optical switches, announced today the appointment of two senior executives to its international sales force. 04/4/2007 23:42 | Portfolio is full of unquoted assets & they dont move much unless a trade sale or IPO takes place. They are sitting un unrealised gains at the moment. Its a mature portfolio though so the actual value is very very much higher than the NAV and miles from the share price ..... | fse
04/4/2007 22:09 | Can someone please explain why the NAV has remained fairly static over the last 18m? I can't find much reference to losses being made in the reports, so where have the gains gone, used up by expenses? | integer
04/4/2007 21:29 | Every little bit helps. | wjccghcc
04/4/2007 16:26 | Not that it is very relevant given the prospects , 31st March 2007 NAV is now 146p | hvs
31/3/2007 13:02 | Hi tiltonboy, Maybe crossed wires. When you said Dr Bob , I meant the way the share price is going. Why is he getting shares and not doing anything about share price and transparency. PDT have a lot going for them but the managers are doing a dis-service to shareholders. | hvs
30/3/2007 12:15 | hvs, It was, read the announcement. tiltonboy | tiltonboy
30/3/2007 12:08 | At this rate it will be Dr Bob lol !!!! | hvs
30/3/2007 12:05 | hvs, Dr Bob. tiltonboy | tiltonboy
30/3/2007 11:59 | Good morning rivaldo, Yes, Its very good news. Wonder who is selling at this lowly price. Must be other peoples money they are playing with. | hvs
30/3/2007 09:00 | :o)) Good news - Apollo have bought another 325k and are up to 1.825m (5.34%): | rivaldo
30/3/2007 08:25 | It does seem iniquitous that Hook again raids the options piggy bank when the NAV has barely got into positive territory. I obviously haven't read the accounts closely enough, but I had assumed that the 1M odd shares exercised by the management company last year was the lot for 2000/2001. | jtjh
30/3/2007 08:15 | Lets hope hes not a PIRATE. | hvs
