Interesting to see that the finance director of Oxford Immunotec is leaving to join Ransom in March. Could this be a move prompted by the knowledge that OI is being bought out and the buyer does not need 2 finance directors?

would very much agree with the possible share price range and the conclusion as a "buy" at these levels.

I would be very interested to hear people's share price predictions on, say, a one year basis.

I suppose a range encompassing 90% of probable outcomes is a decent way of describing an infinity of possible outcomes.

For me, perhaps -10p to +70p.

That may (or may not) seem conservative, but takes into account the hefty cash position, the possibility of market downturn, and an underwhelming medium term record.
The positive of course is the current clutch of emerging companies.

Anyway that range - in an investment that is at least reasonably diversified, and given current market conditions and the fact that PDT share price has lagged the portfolio's apparent progress - suggests still a buy at this level.

FWIW I hold 700ppp in spreadbets, all longterm. Opening those has in every case been matched by market purchases by IG Index as one would expect.

We should tot all these up.....not that it would alter the message.

>rivaldo... good point actually that if the bulk of the shares are with funds then it leaves scant few loose so the share price could move very quickly on moderate buying.

Thats a very positive statement tiltonboy.

Am sure Mr + Mrs and Kids are in for a very Merry Xmas this year.

riv,

Our shares are held across our advisory and discretionary clients. If we had 3% in the hands of discretionary holders, then we would have to announce.

Mr & Mrs tiltonboy, plus kids, have an aggregate holding of 102,414, so we are positive(or is it stupid!!!!!)

Wow - tiltonboy, shouldn't you be on that list then, or do you not have to disclose (from memory) below 10% as only managing other peeps' holdings?

Your 1.33m takes the major shareholders over 80% - add in my meagre holding plus hvs's (rather larger I'd imagine) and others here and we're probably talking 85%-90%! Can that really be true?

Crikey, any decent news and we'll be at the 150p NAV before you can say Rerating....

Amazing - Apollo Fund have got 1.5m and are up to 4.39%, Advance Trust UK PLC are up to 1.3m or 3.81%. So this is the current list of major holders - with the directors these account for 76% of the shares in issue!

Any more good news or demand for the shares and things might get interesting:

They seem to be a bit shy of updating us unless something happens with a portfolio company (disposal, addition) and even then you tend not to get the overall picture.

The FY results were announced on 22 May last year, with a valuation as at 31 March.

I think so by June.

Most of the investments are doing very well and am sure they will update
us on the various investments/companies.

People have a tendancy to look back, with PDT you have to forget the past
and look ahead.

hvs

Yes that's usually the case. Better off looking after your own. It's only guess work i know, but do you think we will see an update soon.
2prsimo

Maybe less now. When institutions are investing other peoples money they
normally buy high and sell low.

Think their selling will be immaterial once we have an update from Prelude.

hvs - I would like to see the seller out of the way soon though. Don't know why you would sell now with such exciting prospects. If it is QVT don't they have about 750,000 left? Regards.
