Bit of good news for us in the Sound (SOU ) RNS this morning
''Star Valley Rig 101 stacked at Tendrara ''
Sound Energy, the transition energy company, announces, further to the Company's announcement of 25 June 2024, that the planned work over operations on the gas well TE-7 in preparation for long term gas production into the micro-LNG plant currently under construction at site have resumed following the arrival of additional wellhead equipment. The operation to run new completion tubing into TE-7, will utilize the Star Valley Rig 101 currently located on the Tendrara Production Concession. The rig had been stacked on site at no additional cost to the Group awaiting the arrival of the additional wellhead equipment. |
From 6th June RNS
"The Titanosaurus structure covers an area of up to 187 km2 and has up to 289 metres of vertical relief. Estimates of potential gas resources for this interval are as previously defined in the Independent Technical Report ("ITR") dated 24 January 2024 by Scorpion Geoscience Limited. These are likely to be increased based on new seismic inversion modelling to evaluate a potentially thickened reservoir sequence."
Some maths:
187,000,000 (km2) *289 (height m)= 54,043,000,000 *35.3 (cubic meters to cubic ft)= 1907,718,000,000 *65 (expansion factor) = 124,001,663,000,000 *0.53 saturation = 65,720,881,000,000 *0.199 (porosity)= 13,078,455,000,000 *0.8 (recoverability) 10,462,764,000,000 *0.75 PRD share 7,849,073,000,000 net
That's 7.8TCF but IPR and PRD say P50 5.916TCF.
The 5.916 TCF must be the unrisked number therefore.
Bit of an uplift from the 487bcf the brokers had it before when it was 126 sq kms and only 20m deep. |
