Just another example of Poland's murky politics at work, putting pressure on Prairie at a critical time in the negotiations with JSW. The Polish government owns 55% of JSW.
One thing that this has taught me is that Poland is not a safe place to invest. It is now on my 'no invest' list.

Interesting indeed as I thought that the Jan Karski problem had been resolved already and that it was Debiensko that was still an issue. All will out on Monday.
I still say that we might not get a clean takeover. JSW want in while PDZ's Chinese investors want to stay involved and have the right to subscribe for capital as a cornerstone investor for any mine development.

The ASX trading halt clearly states "The halt was requested by the Company pending an announcement regarding ongoing legal proceedings for the Jan Karski Mine."

Could this be simply that they have agreed as part of the overall transaction by JSW that this has been incorporated as part of the deal, in such a way that any claims will not be pursued? If so it could have a baring on the negotiations regarding any transaction price. PDZ will have to give certain warranties and indemnities that they will not pursue any claims "post" any transaction being legally concluded.

Certainly makes an interesting few days ahead

Australia tends to do this. I doubt we will get a trading halt. This looks like the early warning for the long awaited deal. It could prove to be an interesting day. Monday could be even more interesting.
