davidspringbank: Something is going on so I've bought 10,000 at £0.187p. Small beer, I know! All the company presentations seem to stop after 2017. So here we are three years down the road and things seem to be suddenly happening with the acquisition of a litigation war chest and the share price taking off. Sit back and enjoy the fun. Lol
lord gnome: Poland is threatened with a trial by billions Prairie Mining has PLN 80 million to arbitrate against Poland. The money will be provided by the fund in exchange for part of the winnings. The claim amounts to PLN 10-12 billionYou'll find out from the article: for which Poland is threatened with arbitration for a gigantic amount How does a fund that will put $20 million into the process what is the risk of us losing the case how other similar disputes have ended Translated with (free version) hTTps:// Thanks to our dear friends down under on the Hot Copper web site for this news link. Share price up 46% overnight in Oz.
lord gnome: We can but hope. The daily tick up is encouraging at least, but if anyone had a real inkling that a deal was about to be done, the share price would be moving north at greater speed and with greater volume of stock traded. I think we are moving north purely on hope value.
lord gnome: You have the satisfaction of knowing that you moved the share price. ?
lord gnome: Super articles plenty. Surely we are on to a winner here. I can't understand why the share price doesn't reflect the hope value. A takeover would provide a clean exit for Prairie's investors. Tic toc.
lord gnome: So now we have the RNS confirming talks still ongoing and hinting at a deal to come. Bringing in a few buyers and we have a tick up in the share price. Helpful to say the least.
lord gnome: Having done a little bit of digging, it would appear that the sudden burst of selling may be something to do with the future of the CEO of JSW. A story has appeared in the Polish press to the effect that the Polish government wants to sack him, but that he is being protected by the trades unions. The way I see things, any threat to him is a threat to our proposed deal, hence the fall in the share price.
lord gnome: Excellent news this morning. Hopefully we can look forward to the recovery of our share price. Onwards and upwards.
lord gnome: Now let me get this straight. On 3 April, the share price sinks through the floor as a few worried investors sell out following an RNS about a delay in issuing a permit. Three days later on 6 April two of our biggest shareholders have both been so busy buying all the loose stock that they have to announce substantial increases in their positions (crossing announcement thresholds). Can I join the dots on this one?
lord gnome: Interesting news, Cottoner. I suppose it all comes down to price. How much will JSW pay and on what basis. I dare say that the Chinese would also be interested in buying Jan Karski. Whatever, I don't see Prairie staying with this until first production in 2023. They will cash out, and possibly in the next twelve months. Hopefully at a price that is some multiple of the current share price. Somebody behind the scenes is buying up all the loose stock at 43p. The market has absorbed a heck of a lot of selling in the last few sessions and the price hasn't budged. Definitely one to hold tight.
