Seconded!

Article in this week's IC about Activist funds getting more for investors. They mention Elliot as a prime example of the more aggressive activist who rarely fail to achieve what they set out to do.

REMEMBER: Elliott rarely gives up on a fightThis is the hedge fund that hounded Argentina for 15 years to recoup their cash after Argentina defaulted 15 years ago. They were hounding Argentina's asset, including it's ship, the airline the PM used etc. With almost 30bn under asset management. I would be surprised if they let Marcus Jooste get away with his arrogance, he truly doesn't know who he is dealing with! This is not the last you've heard of this saga.

I paid £3.34 for mine last year. Sure many here are in the same boat. Extremely unimpressed that I have no control over something like this and stand to lose £700. This isn't a fair fight! If I see a stock going down and dont act , then thats my fault. This is something else entirely.
With a bit of luck Steinhoff will fail in his bid just like he did with Home Retail and Darty

I`m not enthralled by £2.25 plus 2p dividend as I reckon it undervalues the company.
I will make a profit but less than £100.

Just received a letter from my stockbroker The Share Centre this morning. Stein Hoff Europe will pay £2.25 for every share on 15th September 2016. Scheme of arrangement. This is subject to court and shareholder approvals. Can't say I'm happy as I'm looking at a loss of approx £700 if this goes through.Anyone else feeling the same? Any opinions or thoughts?

Can Elliot Capital block the Steinhoff bid with 18.44%Don't they need a further 7% approx from other parties? What are they likely to do with their holding, no point in selling out at £2.25

Thank you phil, but Stainhoff arent always forthcoming with more cash, they dont seem to give a hoot whether the takeover goes through or not, as per the last two bids, here and in France. lets hope Elliot can make them pay more?? although they only have just over 17%

It seems that I am the only one left here. Any views, opinions, ideas? Investic have bought and sold again yesterday. Whats that all about?

Why would Investic acting on behalf of Stainhoff would want to buy and then sell 4344 shares? what is the purpose of that. Any ideas.(From news article above).
