Suspect that's what they want and it makes pound land a bargain. Especially as they are potentially paying with euros that are now worth more

It`s like a call option running out of time , just four days left to make a bid. Stops are getting hit.

174p has triggered another 2700 of mine.

Holding just 5000 now.

almost as if some know that a bid isn't coming and are gradually reducing, or is it just people selling as the deadline approaches?

Yep :-) Risk / reward is a bit better now... but I would like to see Steinhoff continue to buy in the market. Reckon its 50-50 on them making a bid.

Yep, 13% down on the week , 3 million traded.

A few stops triggered today I`d have thought.

A week today we`re either 210p+ or according to Liberum back to 120p.

Surely if they have been approached by Steinhoff to sell their holding to get over 30% they could not then acquire stock in the market (insider)?

See Kensico have increased holding by 100,000 - they are one of the largest holders.
Am surprised we have not seen any holdings notification showing any direct increase by Steinhoff over the past 2 days

Poundland on $$ terms to Steinhoff is 10% cheaper which makes them feel safe bidding £2.20 plus for this asset

Invesco/Steinhoff have played this spot on , helped by market conditions.

Five days left to make any offer.

An NT trade is a negotiated trade between two parties that has to be published immediately.

NT does not mean anything. I had dealt with a few days ago and it had turned up as NT.
