Not sure they will lose face over this one.... But will are trying to get the best price... Remember this was floated at 3 quid & some paid 4 quid so the offer needs to be sweet enough ... Steinhoff are playing a blinder at the moment

What a carry on. If an offer has been made and rejected by BOD, surely they must let us know the price offered. If they don't go through with it, then their loss will be in tens of millions of pounds, or may be they don't care, not to mention that this will be their third failure in a takeover bid.

If Invesco are aware of the offer price Steinhoff are prepared to put forwards, surely that is insider information.

They are then able to control the spread and share price nothing like a bit of manipulation :)

Nudging back up , I reckon they`re mopping up a few again today , NT 'buys' at 203.8p and 204.3p printed.

Invesco dictating the spread ?

Whilst it is feasible that they might walk away - they have spent circa £120 million acquiring PLND shares so far.

That's an expensive whim

I suspect they are agreeing a buy price with some of the big holders as they will be key to any bid... With their support it is game over

A few punters closing out , going a bit wobbly maybe, that a bid is not coming ?

The nearer it gets to the 13th with no bid the more panicky people will get.

Eight days left.

Looks as though anything around 207p is being mopped up .

Invesco may well be trying to keep a lid on the shareprice.

Lets hope we have another bidder in the wings, that would get the share price moving up, instead of it being held down all this time, while Stainhoff fill their boots on the cheap !!

Be interesting to see if they confirm a purchase yesterday as it would imo mark a new high price that they've paid.

phil - possibly...the closer they get to 30% before that the better too, save a few £££;

Nine trading days left now for Steinhoff to bid.

I still reckon they`ll try and get a board agreement before going public.

it wasnt quiet....

"The BB has been down since 2pm this afternoon and we have decided to revert to midnight last night rather than reinstate posts from them until the system outage. This reinstatement would take several more hours to complete and we have decided to forego that delay and reopen the BB now. The missing posts are unlikely to be reinstated but engineers will work to try to establish if it is possible to re-inject them latter."

Gone a bit quite on here considering price averaged 207p during last 2 hours of trading this Wednesday afternoon.
Probably 75% chance of a hostile bid circa 225-250p in next few days.
