02/2/2024 09:07 | ali4fish, You've been around long enough to have worked it out, but basically each MM quotes a bid and an offer price, when the spread is tight it means some MMs have moved away from the price and others have remained. I haven't got L2 anymore but in today's example we had a lot of buys (on top of serious buying all week), the bid got higher and higher suggesting other MMs had moved their bid/offer up and one or more remained. As the buying continued the MMs still on the 9p offer realise they are against the flow and other MMs quotes so they too raise their quote and the price pops up. As the spread tightens, it offers a chance to get in or sell (if going down) before the move... | troutisout

01/2/2024 08:35 | On top of yesterday's 750k buy and the recent uptick in buying volume.... There seems to be an iceberg seller holding the buying back but when you see sizeable buys such as the above you know where we are heading... | troutisout

26/1/2024 07:48 | Klosters whether you think I am besotted or not, I have been saying as much at HVO for 8 months and it has been backed up by II holdings in that period. Here at POLB there looks to be some large buying at times, so could well be some larger buyers, however after every rise the share price gets pulled back down and often before the volume of sells to justify any drops, the price is leading the selling, who quotes the prices? Who sells all the shares to buyers in a rise? Who needs to eventually balance their books? As for IIs they do buy at lower prices than retail because they have the clout to, if the order is large enough then you can put a limit buy in below the market and watch the share price migrate to that price and the order get filled before then moving back up again. Or do you believe this is a fair and even system? | troutisout
25/1/2024 23:07 | trout You say - MMs took this down to let buyers in at just over 8p, So, you and a load of others, are besotted with the concept that the share price is engineered by Market Makers to help big investors build a large position at a lower price than the rest of us . It has been a good day - long overdue. Let's see in the morning ,how my fellow investors react to this. | klosters65
25/1/2024 17:58 | Well that's why it jumped from 8.2-8.3p to 8.4p-8.5p this morning, as well as the delayed 250k buy another 750k delayed buy from this morning has just gone through after the close. Also a 784k buy at 8.5p a bit later. MMs took this down to let buyers in at just over 8p, keep watching but there are some accumulating as others get bored of waiting. | troutisout
