But PATT is wrong and clearly knows nothing about ILMN or POLX.

ILMNs underlying revenue continue to grow both in sales and volumes. POLX is moving from research sales to healthcare.

Agree with him all you want, make the market all you want but it is incorrect and pretty unintelligent.

I disagree WT - PATT believes (and I'm paraphrasing)that as a consequence of R&D budgets being cut elsewhere there will be a commercial impact on POLX - it's a view however much you disagree with it. Similar to those that voted Brexit/Remain on the basis of perceived pros and cons - it's what makes a market.

Everyone can see the risks these are not unknown or unacknowledged by the company and hence in the price. What we can not see is how the finance issue gets resolved and they have many ways in which this might be done.

This is priced and will trade like an option until such time as we know the answer to that question. If they find a solution that does not involve signifying equity element this will 10x to 20x.

My bet is that they sell the European rights to Philips or sell a 50% stake in the US business. They now have proper corporate finance experience on the board and all options will be pursued.

Sorry if the views are without knowledge or insight they are unintelligent.

Illumina - is a stupid comparator and the poster has little to no knowledge of ILMN and even less about POLX.

Just for clarity ILMN ex grail is both profitable and cashflow positive. They will be rid of frail soon at a huge (paper)loss and return to being a profitable business.

It's not a question of unintelligent - it's called different views.

Nigelpm. We had this conversation just last week….now AGL have issued the most ridiculous RNS and a new broker. Placing coming up. Let’s hope POLX deliver another actual order to avoid this or worse.

Perhaps the better question patt is what do you think of angle now. Like polx I reckon reward very much outweighing risk.

Nigelpm. Sadly I think they are in really bad straights. A very close relative of mine works for Illumina and they cancelled the entire intern project this year and made huge cutbacks in R@D. I simply cannot see any potential partner being interested, right now, in expensive new market development. The tech is amazing but as always how on earth do you turn it into cash.

They have a longer cash runway than POLX but face the same game of death.

WTT,I am sure Phillips have a solution ! I have seen many companies go into administration over the years and 1 hour later a flat pack deal is agreed by the administrator with a supplier or customer. The existing shareholders get zero and it is as good as impossible to fight.

In terms of funding, there is not a chance in hell, that Philips would have integrated POLX products in to their latest machine line up and be out promoting Xenoview to their clients if they had not had a very serious discussion with POLX around its funding situation and POLXs ability to service their client base for the long-term.

Why would Illumina have any bearing on POLX ?

They have a long list of very specific problems, have to divest of Grail due to management incompetence, have a new CEO who is cleaning house, have significant changes at board level, are falling behind Pacific Bio and Oxford Nanopore in long read, most of their revenue comes from translational research and not healthcare, have been shorted to hell and back by fast money.

It is about as relevant as me saying I have a relative who works at Nando's and they tell me that people are ordering less peri-peri chicken, I take that as huge positive for POLX.

Let's see if we get any news of more sales pre-xmas - would be nice to keep the momentum going.

Best to put them on Filter. Unfortunately they takeover so pretty much nothing to read on here now.

Imho funding is likely to come from the US and not from some Aim bucket shop broker that a few are implying

I’ve been reading this thread since investing in polx six years ago
Working in this space
Reading in particular Nigel and purchase whatever’s latest posts
I’d strongly ignore the absolute ignorance and game playing tactics they are attempting here.
Both don’t know what they are talking, they both have a agenda Scoundrels of the highest order
One of them already a convicted thief
nigel calling administration last week ?
Very naughty
Like I’ve said nothing but scoundrels

All valid points PATT - I get a sense their conference appearance at RSNA was fruitful and has given cause for lots more conversation around selling machines and collaborations - just a hunch really but perhaps it really did unlock something. Needs a lot more news and commercial traction before getting too excited - some very "painful to watch" ramping going on here, LSE and on X - some people should be hugely ashamed of themselves.
