Following home work and a bit of research on the impact of POLX technology worldwide, this is what convinced me we are dealing with a revolution in lung imaging and diagnostics, by eliminating radiations dangers: "Polarean Imaging plc (AIM: POLX), the medical--imaging technology company, with an investigational drug--device combination product for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), announces its submission of a New Drug Application ("NDA") and request for priority review to the US Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") for hyperpolarised (129) Xenon gas used to evaluate pulmonary function and to visualise the lung using MRI."

I expected some profit taking today and took the opportunity to buy. I am convinced the company has a unique and very useful medical technology that will thrive in every hospital in the world. In addition, it will definitely support Covid pulmonary detection instead of using X-ray, especially in vulnerable people.

I agree with the Maxcyte comparison - wanted to buy it at £1.80 but Barclays didn't have it listed and my HL account was tied up in other shares. Saw it rising and thought, nah I'm not buying as the rise is too fast...next thing you know it's £3! Now £4.35 and still rising.

Happily I've now made the same mistake here, entirely feasible it continues re-rating until it reaches £200m market cap if a big buyer wants in (with Amati holding just shy of 15% it must be on the radar's of other II's, see the top up from Tyndall last week...)

Let's hope so and wait to see what's happening this week.

You would expect a retrace at some stage but I don’t think it will be much as there appears to be a lot of new interest. Again similar to how MAXC performed this year.

Also, there is a lot of potential good news in the short term.
Company flagged up that they expect more orders this year “We are in discussions with several potential customers and anticipate additional orders during calendar year 2020.”

And FDA will reply to fast track request by 6th December.

Usually we see it the next day, most of the time, as a result of profit taking.

Can't see a retrace yet mind, it's too strong.

It's up more than 50% in a just few days. I expect a retrace as nothing goes indefinitely up in a vertical line but this is an interesting company.

Strongly advise people listen to discussion on Vox podcast from 28.50 about Polx. Would also suggest listen to interview with CEO last week. Also a couple of other discussions about them this month.

This share reminds me of Maxcyte when it reached market cap of £100m. I already held and was looking to top up on any fall back. It never did pull back. So I eventually paid over £3 for shares I could have bought for less than £2 if I hadn’t been so greedy. Make no mistake this is likely to be £250m mkt cap long before FDA approval granted.

Interesting.

Just checked the RSP for a size of 10k shares.

No MM wants to offer stock at, or inside the offer, yet all are prepared to bid over the bid price for stock.

So currently loking strong, but of course, that can all change in a matter of minutes, especially after such strong rises.

From a trading perspective the free float is very tightly held. Even a few small buys take this up several pence. Everyone in the stock will hold at least until FDA approval at which point big insti buyers will step in and clean up any lose stock anyway.

Despite the run up the shares are still very cheap. Ask yourself what 100% of an FDA approved, patented world wide pulmanary imaging system is worth? They are the only people on the planet that have the technology to image lung function.

This is multi-billion pound IP.

Like what I see here.

Picked up an initial lot of 15,000 shares today for the road.

Good luck one and all.

Hopefully in for the very long term.

NT for even £300 worth of shares right now...free float is diminishing rapidly here, could see a strong rise into the 60's if the buying pressure maintains (and it should given the laughable valuation).

And if the machines are up and running safely and successfully in research establishments, why on earth would the FDA not also allow them in hospitals where they're needed for diagnostics?

Roll on the approval...

Hopefully this won’t be the last new order of the year. This from the interims:-

“Researchers continue to apply for and receive grants to purchase our polariser systems. We are in discussions with several potential customers and anticipate additional orders during calendar year 2020.”

Whilst nothing is a certainty, if grants are being given to purchase Polx polariser system, you’d be hard pushed not to convert these discussions into orders.

Correction to my earlier post.

Today’s RNS was a new order. So it’s 23 installations and 3 orders.

Yep once it finally cracked that 50 it’s quickly headed to 60. Will that prove so stubborn?

Seller at 50p has been taken to the cleaners here, that’s a very decisive breakout to all time highs :)

From last years HY results :-

“ The number of systems installed or on order is currently 25*.”

Today’s order is number 24. So there is at least one other system installation still to come which I seem to recall they expect to complete before year end.

Clearly FDA approval will be catalyst to enable ramp up of sales.

Renx on my watchlist.
