27/2/2024 10:20 | #5725 it'll be car trouble with Mikey, it always is. He should junk those two things he's got and get something solid like a Cortina, something without loads of computer circuitry. | grahamite2
27/2/2024 10:17 | de haut en bas /də ˌəʊt ɒ̃ ˈbɑː, adverb in a condescending or superior manner. "he never addressed his students de haut en bas" adjective condescending or superior in manner. "he has a certain de haut en bas style" | james japp
27/2/2024 10:17 | It's not just the BBC coverage, either - the Telegraph is singularly lacking in detail. | grahamite2

27/2/2024 10:16 | Andrew Neil @afneil The UK is drifting, unhappy, losing faith in previously respected institutions (like the police), buffeted by extremists (often allowed to run amok), dismayed by decline, angry at the inability of the political class to do anything about it, despairing that the Westminster politico/media bubble pursues an agenda, issues and priorities (look at the obsession with Lee Anderson) which are not most people’s — and had enough of being lectured to by a disconnected, de haut en bas chattering class. Yet we have a Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition incapable of speaking up for the moderate majority, who still have pride in their country and are desperate for strong leadership and guidance through the current morass — plus some hope/sign things will get better — all within the bounds of traditional British tolerance and fair play. This vacuum is dangerous. Last edited 9:54 AM · Feb 27, 2024 · 44.2K Views | james japp

26/2/2024 21:43 | Aye, but not a patch on the dividends..... "goatherd - 11 May'03 - 19:20 - 15315 of 32915 ......... The other way of valuing is to look at dividends. Freelance in post 15293 of 10th May posted “The dividend issue is also very pertinent. The company told me about a month ago that they were projecting dividend payments within '2 to 3 years' as they had no intention of going on the acquisition trail and that they intend to keep the headcount low both in the UK and in Frankfurt.” Now if post-cash cash is £337, and the company follows the policy in the Freelance post then I would suggest the dividend would probably be covered 1.5 times. This gives a total dividend of £224m, for 114m shares, or £1.97 per share." | jeffian |
