09/2/2024 20:09 | Hehe some very good value added today. I note the Met are now peddling the line that the POS probably fell in the Thames and died. He may well of done, of course, why not leave it open until such time as his rotting corpse rocks up during a low tide, eh? | james japp

09/2/2024 14:48 | It is fairly common practice for us in this game - you put a bit of graft in wherever and whenever you can. With avatars finishing up early to sort the school run, it isnt too uncommon for there to be 3 shifts in a day e.g. early morning prior to school run, bulk of day, later in evening after kid fed and put to bed. Sometimes I might have looked at it late at night so it was sorted before the morning, but not last night - but it meant I could crack on straight away this morning. | michaelg1
09/2/2024 14:36 | I did note OB emailed you at 9 PM GMT, MG. Why didn't she wait until after she had dropped the lad off at school this morning? What were you going to do with it at that time? I should have replied: Thanks. Can we start by trying to get a normal 5 days of 9-5 in before we start pretending to be 'working late'. | avatar333

09/2/2024 12:41 | #4557 Three storeys at Monte Towers. They did the front from a MEWP and at the rear they used a clever extended reach pole with a wide bore flexible ducting sooking the contents into a dalek sized industrial wet and dry vac unit. There is also a gutter on a first floor glazed canopy at the rear which we can look down into and from being previously 1” deep in leaf fall and crud it is now as shiny as a new pin. | monte1
09/2/2024 12:38 | That caretaker and his son were the sort of people who made this country great. | grahamite2
09/2/2024 12:15 | #4533, For the avoidance of doubt and the benefit of AVATAR333'S notepad, I will tackle most Ton Man jobs but waving about on a ladder 2-storeys high is not one of them. Some years ago, we owned a property which fronted onto Cardiff High Street and was 4 storeys high. We discovered that the caretaker used to clean the gutters above High Street by getting his son to stand on the flat roof at the rear holding a rope which he tied around his waist and then threw over the ridge with his dad dangling on the other end. Elf'n'Safety put an end to that practice sharpish. | jeffian |
