So before the SLB deal the forecast for this FY was Rev £10.8m, profit £0.3m (which I've queried for a while, should have been circa £2m profit IMO).Now after £4.2m from SLB the Rev forecast is £14m and profit £3.5m. This includes profit on the £8m high margin rental deal. Could do with help here as I'd think the profit should be £4.5m just including the near 100% from the SLB deal, okay there's possibly legal costs (?), so again I'll ask the question why only £3.5m profit?. Doesn't look to me like the "special high margin" £8m rental deal has any margin!, clearly I'm missing something obvious?.

In just over 3 months a quick 20%, that's how much on an annualised basis, wow.Plus the timing of the SLB deal, the deal which would have also taken months to dot the I's and cross the T's. Not to mention the nice KSM bargain to boot.....coincidence?. One things for certain, BvB has come out a lot richer, he'd sooner take the cash than shares, it all smells IMO.

Less debt and less risk of dilution. The 20 percent interest does sound high, but a 3rd party lender would have insisted on that kind of level anyway as credit risk was not low at the time when the convertible was issued. And a borrower would rather pay that to themselves than to 3rd party (if they have the cash). I think it's just normal business rather than something to be concerned about.

Yep great news for Ben and Jeff. Noted they redeemed the notes in cash plus a whopping 20% interest. Why didn't they take the share option?.Sorry but it's clear to me that this business is run for the benefit of the BoD, in particular BvB....not shareholders.

Ah, but then I'd have to stand over him to check that he was doing it right. If you want a job done properly, do it yers'en.

I would suggest that someone who was bone idle would've got 'a little man in' (Copyright: Mrs jeffian) for DIY jobs before now!

Very pleased re CLNs. I didnt really want to have to stump up more cash in a fundraise, may not need one at all now?

I know, jeffian.

You did so even before you retired, if memory serves.

You really are quite incredible!

#3869,

I deal with everything, A333. My family have, on occasion, accused me of being "controlling". My response is that that is because if I don't do it, it doesn't get effing done.

As I know I've told before, my attempts to get Mrs J to deal with her own tax (in anticipation of my untimely demise) resulted in her Self Assessment Statement being left on my desk with the (correct) amount due ringed and a note saying "There has clearly been a mistake. Could you sort it out?"

Valet punch-ups - that would be a lower risk solution.

Blimmin heck - as good as calling a man’s wife an ‘old boiler’ used to be a matter best settled in Travellodge car parks.

I should have imagined that any correspondence regarding the boiler would be addressed to Mrs jeffian!
