The only think keeping the price down is a seller into Peel Hunt market maker. Hopefully will clear soon.

In response to a few worries expressed on here, all I would say is that my personal horizons are too far out to worry about share price gyrations, which I have only ever used to top up, as opposed to top slice!

The recent and extended deal with Bayer, to align PI's product pipeline in soy with the full solution of Bayer CropScience, looks to be hopefully only one, of what will prove to be several such deals. In other words, such deals for 'one' row crop are not based on flimsy scientific evidence or a weak pipeline, nor are such deals attached to attractive upfront and milestone payments if there is not good merit, indeed as this one is. Furthermore, PI's market approach (and potential), science and product pipeline are no doubt having an effect in attracting key individuals with excellent knowledge, experience and networks, the effect of which will no doubt be evident in the not too distant future. On top of this we have a management team that is very experienced and prudent and has delivered on the stated strategy.

Keep in mind how disease resistance (cue Soybean Rust), not to mention patent expiry on existing products, can be overcome by combining products to very good effect both on and off the field! And then think how that could ultimately play out beyond Brazil's borders.

Hence, I remain confident about PI's future and ultimate trajectory.

Thanks VT. This is a pretty important deal. Monsanto were rebuffed by Syngenta and they are now recommending shareholders accept the Chinese offer.

From memory PIM were doing trials with Syngenta a few years back and more recently have poached several stuff.

I'm not sure if PIM and Syngenta yet have any deals. Doubtless Wan can remind me.

This news reinforces my view that shares should be clung onto.

No worries. I first bought in 2009 and the drawdown was, at times, drastic but I've been to various presentations and am happy to wait.

As you say, this is an unusually "mature board" - I can really only remember one passing clown and one 'keyboard warrior'. The pessimists also disappeared at around 38p...

That's the right attitude. If we loyal shareholders sit tight that should aid stability as volumes are low on this share. Compare with other AIM shares where the ADVFN board is constant fretting - those SPs are often more volatile.

Thanks to you both. I've locked my shares in the bottom draw until at least the wheat product is commercial and didn't think before typing. Beer was involved - a reason but not excuse...

Yep, march update. Think they could have done with an update around now just to keep everybody sweet , otherwise when the March update comes out we will be just recovering lost ground rather than pushing on

HH that has changed. see below from Nov RNS:

"Note: timetable for future financial reporting

The Group intends to simplify its financial reporting in the future by issuing announcements of half yearly and preliminary results in March and October respectively, together with two trading updates in June and December."

i.e. don't expect anything till March. thus the drift perhaps. but it's traded in the 50s since May 2015. For an AIM share that is surely cause for celebration !

Also shares are tightly held and on a very big multiple of forward earnings so there's not much to drive the share price until some new contract or results or investor looking to take a big slug.

The share price is looking weak does anyone have a view on the underlying cause, could it be the weak Brazilian market perhaps, or just general market weakness, thoughts?

Recall the following agreement, for which product launch was apparently delayed due to labeling issues;

I think PIM were due to do some winter wheat trials in N.America starting last Autumn. That crop would presumably resume growth in the spring so we might get an update in the March interims.

BB...Given the Chairman's statement that I highlighted above, it's plausible (we expect our business to grow such that we will become a global leader in crop enhancement) that, if you are a patient investor, your target price range could be achieved 'without' a takeover. If that global leader aspiration can be achieved, perhaps we can then consider what next?

I note another new position -
