Seems to be a lot of confusion with what Plant Impact do.

1/ Plant Impact do not Genetically Modify any foods.

2/ Plant Impact produce crop enhancement food. So, basically plant food.

3/ They're good at what they do. Look at the quality partners/investors.

4/ Roll on £2.00.

rwauu,

You are missing the point. The products are not developed just for GMO ...

Why would you insist the company only dealt with traditional crops? How many products do you eat that are free of GMO? Kill yourself? - how many people do you know have killed themselves eating GMO? I think you have stepped on the wrong stage to argue against GMO.

The world needs products to help increase crop production regardless of crop type. Soils have been depleted of minerals, nutrients and biota over many years of intensive farming practices and there needs to be a major change in the way we farm the land in the future and the products from this company help to address some of the problems agriculture faces right now.

Why the heck would you knowingly eat GMO and kill yourself? Either you are insane or American???

Good to meet you earlier today

I managed to talk to Steve Adams after lunch, so took the opportunity to ask a few the questions regarding their IP. I will write up a few notes sometime this weekend.

I hope the name of their new product Banzai is a good omen, meaning that the company will thrive for 10000 years, and not that it'll take that long for it to get going.

See you there maybe.

I should be easy to spot as I'll be with my niece (early 20s) and there won't be many be many other 50 something blokes (fairly skinny, medium height, brown hair) there with a young (20 something) lady in tow. If there are any questions from the floor regarding broker earnings estimates, progress of the Veritas patent application through the EPO, or EIS fund raising, that will probably be me.

Please give John Brubaker and his team a pat on the back for an excellent year's work.

Always more to do and the news on Wheat will be particularly interesting.

Thanks for the information guys, I really like the company, seems very well run and obviosly there is a huge addressable market and one would assume that makes PIM a prime target for a offer from one of the big agro global players.

Couple more questions if I may?

1) What are peoples expectation of the share price movement in the next 12-24 months please?

2) What sort of timeframe do you think the wheat product will be ready, is this a 3-5year R&D project or perhaps much sooner?

Quite a volatile share price of late, but if your horizons, in my opinion, are set correctly for the long term here, it is either noise or opportunity and of course nothing goes up in a straight line!

I have topped up (several times) on what I hope is just a healthy pull back (at prices just above what the CEO bought at 52.5p) and I continue to monitor with further intent.

Recall from the Interims -

Trading Outlook

The 2014/2015 Brazil soy growing season marks the first season of full commercialisation of Veritas(R), and given the scale of the opportunity, it is already the Group's most important market and product. The 2014/2015 Brazil soy spray season is now finished, but there is an appreciable opportunity in dry beans spraying yet to complete (May/June). Management is working closely with our commercial partners in Brazil to understand the full outcome this season, paying particular regard to grower adoption and distributor sales effectiveness. This analysis will drive prospects for the 2015/2016 season order. This work will be complete before the end of the Group's July 2015 financial year, however preliminary indications are satisfactory and the Group expects additional significant growth in sales next financial year.

I note Bayer are presenting and giving a talk at the Brazilian Soy Congress (the page will translate if you click the Google translation icon in the browser address bar) -

I also note that Veritas gets a particular mention and is described as one of the highlights in their Soy portfolio, and I am assuming that PI's expectations for the 2015/16 Brazilian season will be further informed by the presentation of the results mentioned. I also assume that these results will be very useful in Brazil marketing campaigns and indeed any marketing campaigns elsewhere too e.g. other Latin America markets and the United States.

Bayer CropScience brings integrated solutions to the Brazilian Soy Congres

23/06/15

In addition to the product portfolio, the company will present the benefits and results achieved through the programs 'De First, No Doubt' and 'Against Bayer Caterpillar

Bayer CropScience has a presence in this important event showcasing its portfolio of solutions and services for use soybean farmers across the grain cycle from planting to marketing. "For us it is a unique opportunity to participate in the Brazilian Soy Congress, which brings together important links in the production chain to discuss solutions that contribute to increased productivity and quality of what is produced. We are part of this chain and work to bring to Brazilian soybean farmers, technologies and innovative solutions so that they can develop their business in a sustainable way, "says Cassio Greghi, Strategic Marketing Director of Bayer CropScience for Soybean.

The line of Bayer for culture goes from soybean varieties adapted to the producing regions, through biological and chemical pesticides. One of the highlights of this portfolio is also Veritas, bioregulator able to improve the efficiency of plants that are within the new concept 'Intelligent Management'. "Our challenge is to help the producer to reduce the complexity of the business and make decisions at the appropriate times while driving to his farm," points Greghi.

Also according to the executive, during the event the company will present the results achieved through the programs 'De First, No Doubt' and 'Against Bayer Caterpillars'. The first compared the impact of the application of fungicides in agriculture at the right time with another managed area of late how rebuttal in six major producing regions of culture in the country. The monitoring, which took place in real time by means of cameras, had the supporting renowned Brazilian fitopalogistas and recorded an average increase of 4.78% productivity - 3.29 sacks more per hectare - in areas where the management was carried out at the right time.

During the Brazilian Soy Congress, the global specialist Bayer CropScience in fungicide resistance management, Andreas Mehl, will speak on June 23, from 10 am in the Auditorium 3. The executive will talk about the importance of monitoring fungal sensitivity of soybean fungicides, approaching the resistance management and the advantages of enterprise under the scientific aspect.

Genetically modified infers that the crop has been 'manufactured'. The way I understand it is that biologists will take the essence of a crop, working with the seed, or part of the seed, and modifying it in someway so as to enhance a certain aspect of the crop.

Plant Impact create crop enhancement food. This is in no way modifying the crop, it is about feeding the crop the ultimate 'best diet'. Liken it to the diet that a top athlete would consume. What PIM are doing is providing the nutrition in order that the crop will perform at it's best.

This is not to say that some of the crops may be GM. Indeed I would be so bold as to suggest there isn't a crop that is not GM in some way these days. Maybe one or two of the so called 'ancient grains', such as Einkorn wheat are not GM.

TT...Not GM, but materials that are highly effective, safe, environmentally friendly and non-toxic which either boosts yields and/or controls/repels insects (whether that fits natural in the full sense remains to be seen).

This is the best you will get from PI's website -

One complaint I have about PI (Investors Day aside) is, beyond the basic, the lack of available information on their website. There is also some debate as to what product description is best suited, is it crop enhancement or plant growth regulator (which is what Bayer in Brazil recently refer to Veritas as)? Perhaps they are one of the same.

Anyway crop enhancement is probably my preference and there should be high demand for 'proven' yield boosters for food crops!

Can anyone tell me if the PIMs products are 'natural', or would they be considered geneticly modified?

Not only is the strategy working, it is gaining critical mass! The group is already transformed, but entry into new markets will continue the trend. This along with the well funded multi-year, multi-product development programme (perhaps more advanced than currently indicated) offers enticing and exciting prospects, hence PI are attracting talented management.
