23/10/2014 21:10 | HD, just £190k, of course, after taking PR's £10k personal investment into account. Always good to see that whatever he has in his sights is seen as being worthy of backing it with his own money. xcap - personally, I see a reverse coming at AVP. It is just the sort of empty shell that makes it a prime candidate and just look at the emphasis placed upon these sorts of angles in the PR write-up. Makes PIRI's Interims worth a re-read. I had mentioned earlier how odd it seemed for PIRI, as an investment company, to have set up a subsidiary of its own and then to have "...entered into a partnership arrangement with a significant European wind consultancy/develope Not the normal way for an AIM investment company to set up subsidiaries, undoubtedly with a separate business plan and mission. PR also a Director there by the way – Energy Investment Opportunities Limited, also at the same registered address as PIRI. Anyway, this strategy is said to be due to them having seen a number of interesting international opportunities in Renewables and the purpose of this Partnership was for them both to focus on this sector, stating also that they had "a number of significant transactions under review". I sense that either the recently formed PIRI/wind consultancy/develope One way or the other, I fancy that they finally have prey in their sights and need a suitably funded, clean vehicle in order to take it forward and/or raise further investment capital and/or put a tangible means of valuation to it. The subsidiary was set up in March. PR was appointed a Director in July. At the end of that month the Ints suggested near-term activity. Been a longer time bubbling than we were led to expect in the Summer but this now looks like something is ready to come to the boil. In today’s RNS PR talks of some of the transactions they see needing a rapid route to the public markets. Make of that what you will. Interestingly, I see Peterhouse is also Armstrong’s Broker. It is now within 5 months for the said Peterhouse and 6 months for PR and AQ to benefit from a whole stack of warrrants, in combination worth 6% of PIRI. Thing is, that only happens if the PIRI share price is far enough above .1p to make exercising them worthwhile. So there’s the incentive, what about the plan? Possibly in this same connection, PR has been a busy chappie of late. Looking at his list of current Directorships in connection with his AVP appointment, Energy Investment Opportunities is the PIRI subsidiary set up earlier this year where he became a Director in July. Two others, Cleeve Capital and Mithril Opportunities were only set up in mid-September and within a few days of that, another of his named Companies, Renewable Power and Light, changed its registered addy to the same as PIRI/PIRI subsidiary. A month later we get a 13% investment in AVP and, to me, AVP looks for all the world as if it’s a perfectly clean, already funded, RTO in waiting. We’ve been watching paint dry. Might finally be time to watch this space! | outspan

23/10/2014 16:13 | At last an outside chance of some action Not quite in line with what the chairman intimated they were going to do but at least inertia has been overcome. Bit worried that hirshi bar kid is still chairman of avp. He frittered away £5M in India star [now imic ] and has done no deal in avp for a long time . Lets hope Redmonds move prompts some action . | h d shoring
