RR, there is some good value out there and no more than PTR or AMER but my portfolio is in excess of 50% on oilers, which most are underwater. I have been adding housebuilders as I understand that market better after 29 years of construction/ developing. One day value will out for PTR holders 🙏

Spud,With oil £ coming up and most oilers sp's ultra low. I kinda wish I had a few £M to drop on a raft of oil shares.

I think my whinge am, has prompted a European-wide, deflation realisation issue & an upbeat forecast which in turn, has led to a forecasted drop in UK's BSBR...Which is buoying the Mkts (& PTR is up 6%!!!!wtf).???

Ouch Chris, sorry to hear that. I sold all my oilers last year. Fortunately the gains outweighed the losses, although selling GKP at 90p took some doing.

RR, when the AIM O&G index fell 40% last year, who is going invest in the sector? The average punter lost 40% last year and that has created a lot of victims. You should read the Afren thread for a dose of people fed up. Lost 90% in less than a month and that is a FTSE 250 stock!

Thing is, if every sh had faith and the market and Newsflow was forth-coming and everyone held - the MM's process - drag £ down - take cheap stock - sell it higher - wouldn't work.PTR's awful & downbeat Newsflow 'really not helping.The farmout was mid 2014? - does anyone feel - we are on the cusp of a wave (which we probably are)?'Major work needed here by the BOD.

Well looks like next month for news from T5 etcThe way Oil is going I don't see any news having much effect on the SPThis is going to be a long road for PTR to get any real interest in its future prospects.VGLTA
