27/2/2015 09:54 | That is not necessarily a bad thing. I never invest where the bulletin board is overloaded, it is clear sign that idiots are involved. Afren is a case in point. 10000 new posts since I last looked at the Afren board is a clear signal to stay away. A quiet bulletin board is actually a good buy signal. I hold a few FTSE 250 shares where the bbs get less than 10 posts a month. | rcturner2
27/2/2015 09:43 | PTR so very quiet in every way, for example little or no chat on any Bulletin boards and share trading action at more or less a snails pace...?? | crudde99
25/2/2015 11:08 | ..and up, LOL | steelwatch
25/2/2015 10:06 | Down we go again, seems to be the norm these days. 😟 | spudders
24/2/2015 23:10 | sean... Who says we have or will have a different drilling contractor ?. Tomskburneftegaz have drilled all the wells for Petroneft except for the horizontal section of T-5 which was drilled by Baker Hughes and as far as I know it was drilled with the Tomskburneftegaz drilling rig ?.. We shall have to wait and see who has got the current contract.. As for modern equipment, there is nothing wrong with the equipment used to date they have drilled about 30 wells successfully, OK there were one or two delays with the last well but not sure that was a drilling problem or something else. What recent visit are you referring to ? | dbarr0n
24/2/2015 21:22 | It will be of interest to see if the future drilling is done faster due to change in the drilling contractor and more modern kit.Any thoughts on this Db or are PTR in quiet mode after the recent visit.VGLTA | seangwhite
24/2/2015 19:58 | Db - thanks, I was thinking along the same lines. | danny111
24/2/2015 19:25 | Danny ... A-107 was spudded 01/02/15 and they said would take about 4 weeks to complete. I doubt it would take 4 weeks to drill since they used to drill these wells in 15-18 days. So its possible they could have a production rate on this well to include it in the next RNS which I think we will get in the next week or so. | dbarr0n
24/2/2015 18:43 | Ravin. I don't follow you re the 7m that appeared yesterday. The trades I referred to above were from the 19th. The sells were all in the 3.6 range and the buys were in the the 3.7 range. One minute after the 7m trade someone bought a chunk at the same price (3.75). A while later a sell appeared at 3.65 and later a bigger sell at 3.60. Subsequent buys even later that day were also over 3.7, sells 3.6 and so on. I thought sells were usually at a lower price than buys even for the big ones? I think it was a buy which helped counteract some big sells around last week. On a happier note we're all certain about - we finished up a bit today! Still a long journey to go yet methinks. | kevjones2
24/2/2015 18:05 | Ravin - there are now two 7m trades showing on the 19th, at exactly the same time. Perhaps they deleted the original 7m and replaced with these two? | danny111
24/2/2015 17:42 | Another two 7m trades, exchanges? But again chunky trades. I can't see the dates, anyone have date when they were traded? 19th may fit the trend?! | ravin146
24/2/2015 17:18 | Db - possibly also A107? | danny111
24/2/2015 16:55 | telegraph ... Soon.... They said in the last announcement further details of the Tungolskoye development plan will be announced once the drilling contract is executed. Well A-104 production rate will likely be put into this announcement, possibly along with the spudding of Sib 373. | dbarr0n
24/2/2015 15:52 | Kev hence why it was a sell, and as noted earlier by someone, delayed and dated 19th. | ravin146
24/2/2015 15:36 | When do we expect more news | telegraph1
23/2/2015 22:46 | I doubt that PDs recent city tour has inspired any institutions to rush out and buy PTR.This is going to be a long haul not without its setbacks VGLTA | seangwhite
23/2/2015 21:05 | if you look at the trades around the same time as the 7m trade, all the sells were in the 3.6s and the buys were in the 3.7s. There was a 150,000 share trade buy 1 minute after the 7m trade at the same price (3.75). 25 minutes later there was a small sell for 3.65. the next trade was 2 hours later and that was a 1,000,000 share sell for 3.60. This would indicate that the 7m trade was a buy but I must admit (and I've said it many times on LSE) I find Ptr trades extremely difficult to follow. Nothing seems straightforward. Surely a 7m share buy (if it was a buy) should send an share price up at least a couple of % in the short term? Similarly, on days when sells hugely outnumber buys sometimes the share price only drops a half a percent or stays unchanged. Many that 7 m buy (if etc) helped to counteract the big sells we've seen? I think I'll give up wondering about it and just hope the share price rises eventually! | kevjones2
23/2/2015 19:51 | It's looks like a sell, explains the recent fall, as I said chunky trades were going through recently. Just wonder who it is...hopefully that's the lot and we can move on | ravin146
23/2/2015 18:41 | The date asscociated with the 7m trade is flagged as last Thursday (19th), so I assume it has taken time to work the order. Would explain the share price weakness over the last few days imo! | danny111
23/2/2015 18:33 | A 7,000,000 trade above the bid price.A £262,000 trade. And we're supposed to believe that it is of insufficient value to move the share price Very confident this ain't what it seems. These 7m shares haven't come from the general market - I would say. Maybe it's larger holders exchanging.'Be interesting to see what the response is from here.Maybe a ii buying after PTR's recent courting.Ho hum. | rockin robin
23/2/2015 17:55 | The late 7M trade looks promising if it is a buy. Could be a turning point if your an optimist but pessimistic me thinks not 📉 | spudders
23/2/2015 12:41 | Spud not surprised by your views, I just hope we find some support, but have yet to see large buys doing this... | ravin146
22/2/2015 19:45 | My apologies steelwatch as I meant to direct my remarks at spudders who appears to be loosing patience with Ptr... Sorry again...!!! | crudde99
22/2/2015 18:31 | crudde - did I say that? | steelwatch
22/2/2015 18:12 | Hey steel....as you said one only has so much patients and Ptr puts us all to the test at times. I sold 50% of my small holding last year and thus far I have no regrets. However I feel holding on to the remainder for another while may be wise as I feel we can't stay at sub 4p forever..!! I guess it really depends on what your average buy in is and what percentage rise the Ptr share price needs to achieve in order for you to eventually break even or perhaps make a profit. Only you know that...!! Even though I've sold in the past due to utter frustration with this share it has to be worth a HOLD rating at present. That said, the choice is yours to make...
