New CEO..
New middle east contracts..
Lufkin Sentencing next week..
Oil sector looking up..
Current Share price near lows..

Why would you risk shorting this now? One day soon some major good news is going to send this skyrocketing as I believe the SFO/PFC issue is coming to a close.

It's time to be adding to your position if it goes lower not time to short.

All in my opinion.. Good luck all!

Brent $59.50, presume the shorts were put on at a far lower price, will do a bit of reading on previous reports and be in a position to buy over next 7 days if things settle down as looking for a bit of oil exposure.

Are shorts increasing recently? The largest and most credible institution on the short side are Blackrock, who have reduced their short by 0.5% since Jan 25th. Capeview - I don't know who they are and their short is a fraction of Blackrock - have marginally increased their short this month.

Really don't understand why people are adding st these levels when shorts are increasing?
Shorts are no fools and are all over their research.
There's no way they would increase if they weren't driving this way lower than 100p.
Rhey chase big pay days, not penny's...

Soulhead - they have just raised $400m this week by issuing debt, which significantly reduces the likelihood of dilution. Pepe - it is risky, but I don't agree it is a lottery ticket. It is a ticket with the odds stacked in the owners favour at this valuation. Assuming even a $400m settlement - would the shares be down here if it just had another $400m debt instead? Markets don't like uncertainty, fingers crossed that uncertainty is lifted soon.

Shorts increased this is going to get hammered. Happy to hold to 80p and see where we go from there.
Long on 8 stocks and short on 2 with RR being the other one.

Irrespective of fine size, which nobody knows, with Brent at 59 usd and huge stimulus packages on the way.....I can only see contracts picking up rapidly....

@soulhead, a fine of £75m is too low.

Who knows, but makes no sense with current stock price. Clearly, markets are expecting a disaster. Surely smaller than current impact in stock price.

Next week we will have a clear view.

As I said many times: it's a lottery ticket.

Brent 59.24 USD. Pick up in contracts looks nailed on, or my name isn't brown paper bag with 100 USD notes in!
