'Won contracts of £300m and this has no effect on the SP? Feels like someone is taking some fools for a little ride.

God bless Malcy...apart from his share tips...PetrofacPetrofac has announced contracts in Oman worth around $300m through Petroleum Development Oman (PDO).The first is a direct EPC contract for PDO's Marmul Main Production Station (MMPS) – Gas Compression project. The scope of work for the 30-month, lump-sum turnkey contract includes engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up and initial operational support.Located at Marmul in the South of Oman, approximately 800 kilometres from Muscat, the purpose of the new facility is to eliminate permanent flaring and manage associated gas. The work includes gas recovery and booster compressors, gas sweetening, dehydration and other units, utility systems and modification of existing facilities. The second is a project delivery contract with Petrofac's partner and main PDO contract holder Arabian Industries Projects LLC, for selected PDO concession areas in the North of Oman. The scope of this seven-year contract is for provision of reimbursable engineering services, integrated project support and management services, and has an option to extend for three years.Elie Lahoud, Chief Operating Officer – Engineering & Construction, commented: "Petrofac has a significant track record in Oman and PDO are a longstanding client. We look forward to building on our strong relationship through these latest contract awards. Both will be delivered by our teams in the Sultanate, with the focus on safety, maximising local and sustainable delivery, and generating In-Country Value."It does not surprise me that PFC has made significant progress in Oman, when visiting with them a little while ago it is clear that PDO has immense respect for PFC from the top down. Despite the witch hunt by the SFO I expect the company to in due course win substantial new contracts which will dwarf the £400m market cap.

"A big fine would put PCF at the doorstep of massive dilution for current shareholders." ... the company raised $400m in liquidity yesterday. Puts a big spanner in the works for any shorts hoping for a heavily discounted dilution.

Agree with all that - Whites. FCA's last short sellers spreadsheet was 27/1/21. So we have no official picture on what happened since. Normally to close a short like Rye Bay (12m shares) you would need to see massive volume - maybe 40-50m shares. JMHO

Today we see and witness the extent of short sales and how stocks can and are held back. This was the catalyst to the events we saw Stateside over GME, when retailers said enough is enough. However it also demonstrated the corrupt manner in which brokers liases with and partner Hedge Funds and are courted by the press. 11th and the sentencing of Dave will hopefully draw a line under a big big part of the investigation. I would like to see one of two things happen. Either directly afterwards and included in the SFO announcement about how long Dave will get would be an announcement of cessation of investigation, or.... PFC to announce that Sami has negotiated a settlement to close the case down and PFC admitting no liability. Either one will allow the re-evaluation of PFC to evolve with no disruptive short sell claptrap.. Isn't it annoying that these "Short sells" use gambling apps to operate.. Spread bets, CFD's, leveraged positions that are just pure out and out gambling.

A big fine would put PCF at the doorstep of massive dilution for current shareholders. It's a lottery ticket in both ways: shorts and longs.... Ohhhhhhh please... PFC would first have to be charged with something... JEEEEEEEZUZ

I read that on LSE board yesterday - but is it true. No confirmation elsewhere. (i.e. FCA) I would reckon you would beed a share turnover of 40m+ to close a 3.5% short. JMHO
