if you see 10.00 and above days again then buy the weakness. dividend and potential for takeover at these levels for me underpins the price. will watch and pick an entry point. shorters although a huge pain do create some great entry points into these types of companies.

Unioil was a company other companies paid to assist them to win contracts in counties where corruption was rife. How Unioil did that all the companies that paid them have no idea they claim. The SFO claim otherwise. That is the case against AmecFW and PFC and others in the shortened version.

notimp the way the o&g sector took off it's no surprise we're due some pullback. It was almost going vertical on the back of the oil price rise.

An article in The Times today says that the SFO has brought fresh charges (conspiracy to pay bribes) against 2 of Unaoil's staff. Is there any connection between Unaoil and PFC (I have a vague recollection of reading that there was but might be completely wrong) and if so could this be what is affecting the share price?

Definitely not liking the way the volume picks up on every dip.

That smell of burning. Would that be the shorters wolf?

wolf you do understand that the fellas on the short side will also be lowering their stops as the share price falls?

Only those that don't use stops would potentially have a problem but that would be very unusual. The reaction to short selling borders on the extreme side of rabid.
It's almost comical. Can just imagine the foam and gibberish...

Follow up to post: 111 In less than a year;

SFO case thrown out by court.

Charges dismissed were against Barclays plc and Barclays Bank plc for
“unlawful financial assistance provided to the State of Qatar in November 2008”.

As far as Petrofac is concerned how can the SFO build a prosecutable case if there is no victim and as far as one can clearly see, there isn't even a single verifiable witness!

Ah ha say the Bill, the 'evidence' from Buzzfeed was that Peter robbed Paulovic for £1 million dollars in unpaid fees.
Is chump change even worth consideration as admissible.

In a way the shorters have done us a favour with dividend paid on 25th - we can now buy alot more shares than last week and added bonus is the rise in share price to accompany it will hurt the shorters even more ...happy days

Have to say I'm still a little confused around the 10% dip since last Wednesday - especially with the lack of news? Or is that the answer - was something expected at the AGM?
