Seem to remember there was quite a bit of takeover talk on here not so long back.
That's gone quiet!!!

Well that’s my trading done since 400p, 5 x £20k trades done, 460p resistance hit, I will call it a day on the trading side until results are out and digested, keep the core holding, hopefully some good cheer in the results but not going to second guess them.

Has proved a great trading stock to date, I will leave that for the next man for now.

Right off to find another trade, they are getting harder to find though, you need decent volume and good upward momentum.

Research, reasearch!

Agree.

The silence is deafnening regarding contract wins.

Very worrying.

Meant to add: and there have been no big contract wins announced since the FCA arrived on the scene.

Better to travel up to results than arrive? Hopefully not but the most important thing from the results is to see whether the FCA investigation has impacted on contract wins.

Bouleversee,

Re:Fish King,and Povident Financial.
Je faisais une plaisanterie,c'est tout.

You have to understand FishKing's excitement.

The share went up about 70% this morning last time I looked,so anybody holding it will be over the moon.

It just jumps out at you when you scan down the Advfn monitor listings.

The internet in my area has been down for two weeks or so with only occasional access, so it is good to come here and see that Petrofac is looking fairly positive for the time being.

Don't get me wrong I'm long time older but just worry about that fca that's all. I was thinking maybe company should come to negotiation and close the case.

Apologies for not being bright enough to spot the connection but I did say "please" and he didn't mention any increase in share price of which I was unaware, not being a holder Tbh when I first glanced at it, I didn't notice the heading and I thought PFC was going to have a rights issue till I read to the end, which gave me a nasty shock, hence my reaction. I thought it was just another plug for a different company as happens here from time to time and which I find annoying. I shall revert to diplomatic mode.

Bouleversee,
Re:Fishking: Provident Financial.
What has come over you this morning? :-)
You are not your usual diplomatic, polite self.

New York Boy: re:testing resistance at 460,very interesting!

Looking at the chart from 24th January,I see 460 as just within the overall downward trend so it is a turning point one way or another.

I see this turning back down to test the 400 support again unless heads on up past 460 and breaks out.

I don't see it just hanging around at 460,so up past it, or down to 404 or so.

The above is just my take and thoughts on the chart at the moment.
Yours humbly, 5%. :-)

I think he was alluding to the FCA closing the case and the effect it has had on their share price FWIW I think the shorts are covering ahead of results!

Maybe, or just the appreciating price of oil with growth expected in the major economy's.. Still under water myself, but have traded in and out quite successively of late so by reducing my entry price.

Good movement upwards. Is this because people are expecting good things on results day coming up?

I was tempted just to trade all my £17k holding that was up about 5 percent to 18k - but in the end I thought I better just hold on. What with another £2.4k holding bought at 443p always find the trading decisions or simply the selling decisions sometimes harder than the but decision.

Linton5 It’s an old resistance I had from various trading charts, not a significant one, those are at 400p (successfully tested) & 460p

GL, keeping my core holding and trading £20k lumps for pocket munch

Once again trying to break 430p, patience required here. If it wasn’t for MS this morning we would already be above 430p
