Interesting the newly agreed forbearance expires on Friday 20th September the AGM just announced scheduled for the Monday 23rd September Wonder what we will be voting on ?Seems the date set for ...The 47% have been wall crossed so are privy to the outcome and happy with the extension , the rest are in the dark like the rest of us. Ayman has now left thanking Petrofac and still holds his shares along with Azvalor Could be an interesting couple of weeks imo GL

Arm - I agree if this was a simple cut and shut job it would have been done and dusted by now.

This is about the realisation of value at a time where the sector is severely constrained in terms of labour resource and free capacity.

There will be a few more chapters of this story left to run....could be the recovery play of the year.

Surely from a shareholders point of view, massive dilution will come with any financing package? If true, you're waiting for the axe to fall.

They keep extending because there's an $8 billion --+backlog of services needed in an oil&gas industry headed by energy giants with the type of capital that rivals the entire GDP of multiple countries.Bondholders provided life support for a company that nearly collapsed over losing $10 billion in contracts following their corruption probe, they need to see some ROI,selling everything at auction only further exasperates losses, contractors will want everything for next to nothing.Creditors took over McDermott International barely two years ago and are already three significant lawsuits deep. The books aren't open to the public now but looking at the wages offered to field workers doesn't look good,$40-$60K usd for a crane operator is not a recipe for retaining workers.

The business is far too specialized and complicated for financiers to meddle in,their expertise only overlaps a portion of the business,it takes a certain breed that eats, breathes, and sleeps this industry,a borderline mentally ill schizo/autistic savant with a touch of narcissistic psychosis,a room full of high powered creditors voting on matters they won't fully comprehend is a recipe for disaster, especially with Energy Giants that have egos and bank accounts the size of icebergs with legal teams that are more like bloodthirsty doberman pinchers at their disposal. All it takes is one slick CEO looking to capitalize off the information chasm and the threat of getting bilked is high.Energy Giants use outsiders for a reason,it's HIGH RISK, ,and Highly easy to run into problems of every imaginable instance and at every step,if it wasn't the Oil &Gas titans would just do everything in house without using sub contractors. This CEO might need to tickle a Sheikh just right,to free up more up front capital to get some positive momentum going in returning this disaster to a form of fiscally responsible resemblance. This business isn't run like an apartment complex leaving financiers free time for yachts, woman, country golf clubs and frolicking around the globe on vacations, every penny gets earned the hard way from field workers up to upper management.

"The roller-coaster ride of being a Petrofac bond holder are here for all to see as their forbearance is almost continually required at the moment.

So bear a thought for the equity holders who must live in constant fear of a trip to the barbers"

Sums up the situation in a nutshell.
