14/10/2014 09:12 | Petrofac Secures Duty Holder Contract With Faroe 13 October 2014 | piedro
13/10/2014 14:19 | Salpara - Whose parade are you raining on exactly? Not mine as I am not currently a holder + probably won't be now that I have discovered that PFC are Jersey-registered. Merely posted the above info on new contracts as I stumbled across it + thought holders might be interested. Surprised it wasn't rns'ed. | speedsgh
10/10/2014 15:44 | Not wishing to rain on your parade but Balfour Beatty had no problem winning contracts, merely executing them for a profit! PFC has been no stranger to underperforming projects in the past so I will wait until I see an upturn in actual business performance. | salpara111
09/10/2014 12:17 | Petrofac secures two major contracts - | speedsgh
08/10/2014 10:21 | Still watching, little point in getting on board until we see the next update. Sentiment across the whole oil sector is undoubtedly being affected by declining oil prices but PFC current share price means a solid 4% divi which is starting to look attractive. | salpara111
07/10/2014 09:05 | Is pfc good value? market seems to think otherwise. my concern is weakening oil price affecting future projects. must admit that I am very tempted though | pyemckay
06/10/2014 22:30 | did Barclays use a crystal ball to see 43% upside in pfc | whum
06/10/2014 13:28 | wad collector - I do my own research. In fact I have a fairly popular stock market newsletter. I just posted the targets as many on these threads seem to follow broker targets. | liarspoker
06/10/2014 13:14 | salpara111- you were right about brokers targets and PFC chart looks awful with more downside to come I think ! | arja
01/10/2014 15:07 | Brokers guess's are of dubious value , might as well make your own guesses and take responsibility. I am guessing that my 999 buy limit will be matched today ... It was , 998p , the lowest buy of the day I think. | wad collector
01/10/2014 13:21 | Natixis PFC target £15 Berenberg PFC target £14.30 Bernstein PFC target £14 Credit Suise PFC target £13.40 Consensus target of polled analysts £14.04 | liarspoker
30/9/2014 17:00 | Yes...and we know what broker targets are worth! Deutsche Bank issued a buy recommendation on BBY last Friday and then on Monday morning a whopping profits warning! I am not saying that is what is coming here but what you can say is that they have consistently failed to meet their own ambitious targets for the last few years so I for one will wait for the next market update. If it is peachy then I will take a stake. | salpara111
30/9/2014 10:17 | Daily Telegraph ' Petrofac was pushed to the top of the FTSE, up 29p, or 2.87pc, to £10.39 after a bullish broker note from Credit Suisse which said that as its shares languished at a four-year low Petrofac offered “compelling value ' Extract from | togglebrush
29/9/2014 22:17 | Director buy also mentioned in the press. I have never held here but getting tempted as it tickles £10 . Not sure I like the nasty black product though... | wad collector
29/9/2014 17:54 | No 1 on FTSE leader board today: In company news, Credit Suisse drove Petrofac shares higher after upgrading the stock from 'neutral' to 'outperform', target 1,340p | oilretire
16/9/2014 18:06 | Not very complicated. The last results were worse than the market expected and making their reduced year end forecasts mean that the back half of the year has to go swimmingly. Factor in falling oil prices which will make the oil majors question the viability of big new projects, then throw in the unholy mess that is a lot of the oil producing regions of the world right now and I fail to see how the share price could go anywhere but down at present. I am looking at a potential target entry point at 950p but even that will be dependent on their next update. | salpara111
16/9/2014 14:09 | why are we drifting so low. Is it the referendum effect or something else? middle eastern geo political threat, demand down due to global(Chinese) downturn. Given the order book the share price should be fairly robust | whum
16/9/2014 12:10 | Why is the ceo here so feted. He seems to be someone who is long on wind and short on delivery.Seems to have a powerful position where he rules the roost. Share price at 5 year low now. | meijiman
15/9/2014 17:09 | I am not looking for yield but rather I look to buy a stock when it is yielding at a certain level as that often provides some support for the share price In this case the divi is covered so unless something unexpected and negative happens the divi is pretty safe. | salpara111
13/9/2014 18:58 | Tipped in Fleet Street Letter today. | clausentum
13/9/2014 01:09 | Do take care if you are viewing PFC as a pure dividend play. The dividend looks to be safe in terms of dividend cover yet if you look at FCF you will see that this has been negative in three of the last four years. What does this mean? Well it means that dividends are being paid out of cash reserves; simply something you need to understand. If things did get tough over the next couple of years than the dividend would be greatly at risk. You will find much safer companies yielding 4% if dividends are your game. | hatter2
11/9/2014 20:59 | Needs to bounce here or could drop a fair bit further | hydrus
27/8/2014 21:42 | PFC should be buying back their stock now that debt has reduced imo. At these prices I wouldn't mind that at all. | liarspoker |
