17/12/2013 08:59 | Hatter, cheers for your thoughts. Unfortunately I do hold from significantly higher levels. It'll be fashionable to hold oil services again at some point. | 5bag
17/12/2013 08:52 | Clearly no love here yet. The sector is not in demand and all players are being marked down. Still sitting on the sidelines waiting to get on board. I am a firm believer in business sectors reverting to mean in the long run. Most of the oil services stocks rose dramatically several years ago so to me this is more about a consolidation period, in addition they tend to pay divis that are smaller than other low growth stocks like Shell/BP or the regulated utilities.....the $64K question is........is this a low growth sector now? | salpara111
17/12/2013 08:50 | 5bag, various issues with Petrofac that have caused it to be unloved by those that feel they are experts an leading example is the original 2015 target Petrofac set themselves; they now offer little optimism within PFC that they will reach this target. From my perspective I prefer to forget the 2015 target Petrofac set themselves and just take a view now of what we see in terms of value and prospects going forward. This is in my view, how the company will be assessed in the next 12-24 months when the original stretch 2015 target has been seen for what it was, just a target. To my view we have a good business here that is growing well and offers, again in my view, excellent prospects: From - PE(f) 9.4 Yield 3.8% and appreciably increasing each year ROCE: very impressive My feeling is that it is one to buy and tuck away and wait for sentiment to both the company and sector to improve. Question is if you are not currently a holder then when do you actually buy; MACD cross over? I am currently a holder but sadly not in profit. | hatter2
16/12/2013 22:12 | Or then again....this seems very unloved at the moment. Hard to see why it's dropped so far, looks good value to me, or is it just me? | 5bag

16/12/2013 10:24 | There's 1161. Push through there and it's blUe sky's...... | shugsy
16/12/2013 09:31 | Nice push through there, 1161 area next stop. Oil on the more north also. | shugsy
16/12/2013 09:04 | If it can just get through 1150 then it should rally. | shugsy
15/12/2013 16:45 | Halliburton? Schlumberger? Both were interested in the past 12-24 months at +£20-£25 a share. | shugsy
15/12/2013 15:29 | zero chance of takeover, who has that sort of money!?!?!? | 2ngh
14/12/2013 17:00 | What are the chances of PFC being a take over target? Where others are forecasting a massive reduction in profits PFC see flat profits in the short term. Cash rich, this could be a good prospect for a cheap acquisition at this level? | shugsy

14/12/2013 11:35 | Depends what the ftse does IMO. If the ftse bounces next week then PFC will too and be back over 12 in a jiffy. If the markets continue to fall then it will take PFC down with it. The tapering decision at the end of the week will determine direction for the next couple of months. More upside here than downside but all about timing and patience. | shugsy
13/12/2013 14:12 | Another negative comment about the sector in the FT today so I imagine PFC WG. LAM etc will all stay under pressure. PFC seems to be the most reasonably priced of the big players but LAM could do better when it returns to paying a divi next year. | salpara111
13/12/2013 08:37 | What are the targtes for PFC, looks intersting especially with the likes of Kentzs getting interst | ethorne
12/12/2013 15:45 | Went over my margin by £3 :) then it bounced back, thankfully it wasn't called. | metier9
12/12/2013 13:53 | Gutted if you sold out or got stopped out this morning. | 2ngh
12/12/2013 12:03 | Have been watching closely since the recent fall and still feel that it is now decent value. The fall today was triggered by Wood Group's trading update which was less optimistic. It does look like it is now going to test the 1040 mark and if it does I will take a decent sized stake as the divi will be pretty decent at that level. | salpara111
12/12/2013 11:49 | People limiting their risk with the threat of tapering next week. good long term support at 1040. | 2ngh
12/12/2013 11:42 | Stopped out guys, i wasnt looking and didnt see this coming over last two days, ridiculous really. | fozzie
