And who mentioned USP?

walterwhite1 - No USP just there are a lot of gamblers?
But even the gamblers that take up any placing have to sell to more gamblers who do not have the advantage of a discount.

Funnily enough with 3500+ companies on the London stock market why gamble on one with no USP?

fenners - I appreciate you have genuine hate for Teeling and Horgan and its completely understandable. This for me is a duff stock with very little room for optimism. But no one forced me to buy, and I'm happy to sit on my investment until it comes good or I lost the lot. I have no clue who would buy in if they did a placing. But I think there are enough gamblers out there who'd give it a whirl. Good luck to you

Question remains why does anyone take part in the placing?
It all comes down to the "discount" and whether they believe they can offload them at a small profit.
So how do they convince backers that could happen?
After all the track record is abysmal , they cannot point to any projects , they have been to court vs a major investor and had their director stand down, they have responded by declaring PET a shell company (allegedly) so what is the USP?

Spoke to David Horgan this week and the interims are going to be released soon.
I think a placing to keep him in clean underpants is on the cards tbh.

it's more akin to a rinsing than a placing these days ...

Given that the BB is as dead as the company, what about a sweepstake on the date of the next placing?

Gents

I am craving for a monster riser. What's happening with our PET. Anyone can point me to a Mega one? I bought plenty of MXC share today, keeping it all tight in my micro G-String.

When somebody finally accepts the reality of something it’s sad and devastating. I understand why so many people choose not to face the reality of something and try to creat hope even though it’s false

After being here for many years I now realise what hopeless company this is. Completely clueless amateurs who are hardly doing any work and simple using it to pay their wages.

Despite the best efforts of shareholders the company has shown complete disregard to them and responded like a flippant and immature child.

No miracle can save this share or company. It’s DEAD. I have lost my retirement money in this and there is no point in selling.

Another week and only one post on the subject of R&R. Nothing on the Company and its activities.

"IT COULD OBVIOUSLY BRING POTENTIAL VALUE TO PETREL RESOURCES PLC WHICH IS STILL KIND OF SHELL COMPANY." Roger Tamraz

Just a reminder of Tamraz's observation which might be at the heart of the problem.

1.85p and a market cap of almost £3m for a shell company is high.

With no credible options to raise cash....unless of course the directors put their hands in their pockets to demonstrate confidence in the business model. Ha ha!

Oil majors and super-state backed oil companies, strangely no mention of loss making minnows running short of cash....
