Sharw, the figure I used was based on 2019 accounts (the latest whole year available) as summarised on advfn. However, on examination it does look like advfn have confused cents for pence so I think their quoted p/e figure is wrong. That said, the 'adjusted' earnings for 2019 were 4.2c (about 3.2p at an averge conversion rate.)
As with many companies transitioning to saas, there is a consequent period when one-off (but lumpy) contract revenue is sacrificed for the benefit of forward steady income and things should subsequently stabilise. The real penalty from the operational point of view can be the temporary effect on cash flow.
From the investors pov the perceived dip in a companies fortunes can provide an opportunity in those companies managing the transition successfully.

Forecast for EBITDA to be positive for F/Y 20 and possible net positive for this year?

"There is plenty of room for uprating given its modest p/e"

Modest? - it is forecast to be negative for both 20 and 21

It appears to be a saas type contract which has been going live in (?geographical) stages during 2020 and will now perhaps have reached its full monthly income potential. So we can surmise that 2020 will have produced a fraction of the annual income - certainly less than half - of a full year's expectation and that the current year will produce virtually a whole year of steady monthly/quarterly revenue. Not knowing the contract terms we don't know whether there is an additional bonus on official 'acceptance' of completion.
All in all, and together with other recent contract wins, things are looking very positive. There is plenty of room for uprating given its modest p/e ratio and a healthy cash position following its mainly institutional £2M equity fund raising in August.

Good news - should be an excellent reference point for further sales given this Asian customer has 400 million subscriber.

Does completion of implementation mean that a chunk of income will now fall into this H1 I wonder?

I bought in at 38.5 last week. Undervalued with solid recurring revenues so additional deals a bonus IMHO. Don't think it will be long before it is rerated.

Nice 200,000 share buy at 38p this morning - and a tick up.

Thanks boadicea you're probably right since the most of the business seems to relate to a large Asian telco group. Hopefully I'm just nitpicking around my own misunderstanding.

I think it depends on the size of the customer. A bespoke solution for Vodafone, ATT or Horizon etc may not be scalable beyond that organisation but it would be scalable within it and that's fairly large scale! For lesser customers I take your point.

I DON'T LIKE seeing customers paying for 'change requests' - and it should be 'customisable features' if we're talking about maintaining fully standardised software modules. Otherwise, PTRO is on the greasy pole of being turned into a non-scalable software developer agency for bespoke solutions that aren't replicated homogenously across all clients. I hope I'm missing the point somehow, or I'd like clarity on how customer payment 'equity' is managed going forward.

paleje, my notes have the latest Cenkos est at $7.0m for that 84p/share. (From $7.4m mid-2020). Corresponds with Rivaldo's 75%. EDIT: See that your $5.0m was Recurring rev! Apologies.

Wondering if today's news may stir ST into action - been rather quiet re PTRO recently!

Yes - good update and it is particularly encouraging to see APR up by 35%.

Sums it up nicely rivaldo, and that $5.4m is a bit ahead of Cenkos' estimated $5m which they valued at 84p/share.

Today's update looks pretty positive to me - particularly the $1.2m contract win, the new mViva win and the $600k of other gains achieved this month.

Looks like around 75% of 2021's forecast revenues are already in the bag given the $5.4m recurring revenues, so it shouldn't take too much to achieve consensus at worst.

Last year's numbers won't look great, but that was the peak transition year from lumpy contract wins to the new longer-term contracts which is now smoothing out.

The m/cap is now at only £13m. With a high and increasing recurring income base, at some point there should imo be a decent re-rating here. It's just a question of when, assuming PTRO continue to perform.

With a closing market quote of 36-37, that's a curious trade reported after the bell on Friday (and dated Friday) of 25k @ 39.25p

Unfortunately the rises don't hold, bad sentiment over the way management operate but numbers should eventually override that. TU this month, it was 22nd last year.

Nice start to 2021 - let's hope it continues and PTRO gets back to over 80p pronto.

HNY to all here.

Interesting late trade reported after the close of 75k @ 38p...interesting as there's been 75k available to buy online since yesterday. Would be nice if that trade results in a lack of supply at this price next week.

Looks like the late reported trade of 195k shares @ 32p brought the share price down late afternoon. Picked some up @ 35p but seems seller(s) still lurking.
