Group underlying sales up 7%. Full year sales and adjusted operating profit expectations reaffirmed.

Strong trading performance with an outstanding result in English Language Learning and a good performance in Virtual Learning, Workforce Skills and Assessment & Qualifications, offset by an expected decline in Higher Education.


Delivering strategic progress; reshaping our portfolio and increasing interconnectivity between divisions to unlock synergies and lifelong learning potential.

On track to deliver at least £100m of efficiencies in 2023 which will accelerate improved margin expectations from 2025 to 2023.

JP Morgan's very positive note on Monday had a price target of 1010. I think that's conservative. Looking for £15 myself.

Pearson plc (the Company) announces today it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 25 pence each on the London Stock Exchange from Citigroup Global Markets Limited.

Date of purchase: 17 June 2022

Aggregate number of shares purchased: 203,273 at average of 746.99p

These share purchases form part of the Company's existing buy-back programme which is expected to be completed over the period from 4 April 2022 to 4 October 2022, details of which were announced on 4 April 2022.
