Pearson's balance sheet looks relatively safe according to Investor's Champion, as does its dividend. Although the stock's valuation now seems quite full, they're happy to wait to see if Mr Bird can transform the group into a high margin digital services operation.

I thought today's trading update was very positive. The share price is not overbought at the moment and it may be going upwards in the next few weeks, going into territory not seen for well over a year. The coronavirus pandemic has been a catalyst for the continuing digital transformation which has caused an increased demand for on-line learning products. Pearson has been transformed, following the right strategy at the right time. When the pandemic is over the other areas of Pearson's activity will be restored but Global online learning will be here to stay and easily accessible.
