17/12/2020 15:37 | In some ways this is looking like a chart breakout? Would you say that is so? The RSI is still quite moderate. | netcurtains
09/12/2020 15:18 | I suspect this is a good hedge against hard brexit.... Its basically a dollar stock ...... I feel its worth holding a few just in case there is no deal... | netcurtains
29/10/2020 12:43 | Talk of not doing EXAMS again this year. I guess that is pretty bad for PSON | netcurtains
23/10/2020 15:53 | The latest round of quarterly updates from Investor’s Champion’s income stocks suggests that they've hunkered down and are well positioned to benefit when the economy starts to recover. #igg #mndi #mony #pson | energeticbacker
21/10/2020 14:43 | I say it slightly tongue in cheek, but remarkable that new CEO was assigned job of picking himself, and was also on remuneration committee, and thus managed to negotiate a vast salary in the process, albeit incentivised! | bookbroker
21/10/2020 14:29 | "no other xxx wanted the job" - that is extremely unlikely - there are millions either unemployed or on low wages all over the world | netcurtains
20/10/2020 11:36 | PSON PE 15 - BT.A PE 6 | netcurtains
16/9/2020 08:12 | Would not be surprised to see another negative trading statement before long! | bookbroker
16/9/2020 08:11 | Fallon should be handing back every penny of his salary, he has created zero shareholder value, absolutely useless. If he had kept the FT., it would probably be worth more than the current value of the whole company. He has destroyed this company, there are far more nimble players in the digital education sector. Inept and incompetent, the board should have forced him out years ago. | bookbroker
15/9/2020 22:09 | apollocreed1: A pretty ordinary Java developer can get £750 a day in London that equates to pretty much £200k per annum. Surely the boss should get paid more than an average contract IT office worker? | netcurtains
15/9/2020 22:00 | I always vote against any director earning more than £200k pa - my votes aren't worth much but at least I've shown my disapproval. Nobody's skills and labour are worth more than that. | apollocreed1
15/9/2020 17:53 | Silchester International Investors now holds 10% of Pearsons equity. | netcurtains
15/9/2020 15:53 | bookbroker: If you're so upset my advice would be to sell your shares and buy a stock you like (Bloomsbury or relx). My view is give the new guy a year to prove himself. Who knows I could be sitting on a share price of over £15 this time next year. I'm very relaxed about the recent fall as I know is based on fluff and nonsense (I was not here for the longer term fall). shorting is a game of very short run memories and often it occurs just before one hell of a bull run as it artificially deflates a price lower than it normally would go so once done and dusted one tends to get big bounce . | netcurtains |
