For anyone who wants to read it, the latest Panmure's and Westhouse research is on the pcfg website

Panmure's new note today is entitled "Potential ten bagger". Bit OTT, though wish it becomes true. Most brokerages have some kind of monitoring of their research and amazed that headline was allowed............unless they believe it.

Disappointing that no rerating. Look at OPM in the same business, higher risk, and share price has more than trebled in the last year. OPM on a historic multiple of 31x. And make about half the profit on a loan book one third the size. But their costs are lower, the do not have the Bermuda holding overhanging ( and not understood). So PCF languishes. PCF hit 9p in July last year, so in boom times for their lending, the share price has made no progress

I agree that the valuation is low and will post more later

Lopez, you may well be correct. For someone like myself who is not well educated in the world of balance sheets, maybe you would be kind enough to explain in simple terms, and provide some numbers. Always willing to learn more.

Regardless, my basic knowledge says to me that the current valuation of this company is low.

All the best.

Read the accounts carefully as the breakdown of profit in each area does not appear to have really grown from last year....but willing to be corrected

Results were good, prospects appear good!

I thought this would be sufficient to spark a significant rise in price?

Regardless of this I anticipate a rise over the coming weeks and months as the financial institutions and larger players take a more in depth look at proceedings.

Should we obtain the banking licence next March/April I believe the price will start to soar, assuming a takeover has not taken place.

Happy to keep holding.

Yes, results show steady improvement towards the 2% return target, which will trigger the return to a dividend. The banking licence objective is interesting as well. I hold a few of the convertible loan notes which I think is the best way to play this one from a margin of safety perspective. Utilico support this company and so I suspect it has reasonable prospects.

look at the breakdown of sector profitability and the business does not appear to have moved forward to a any great extent

Even 14p looks a little cheap on a bottom line multiple basis, which i think is what PE is calculated off. Hope to read an announcement on banking license submission, however might have to wait till AGM statement for that.

Great results - Scott is excited about the Group's prospects in the coming years. He is not the only one as they represent one of my biggest holdings...

Shareholders and potential investors in Private & Commercial will probably be interested in attending ShareSoc's growth company seminar on the 25th June where PCF will be presenting.

The current spread is putting me off a little, but I hold and if the spread narrows I will look to add.

Another positive statement!

Results in June should give us a £1 mil+ profit. Also broker ratings still indicate a 14p target.

Not much trading here though, doesn't seem to have the popularity of other stocks.

Very few comments on here of late, and the share price has also been stable since July/August of 2013.

I myself have only been in here for a short period of time, but I'm looking forward to the F/Y results in June. Hopefully they will deliver a £1 mil profit for the current year and with some good fortune deliver an equal or stronger profit for next financial year. If these targets are reached I anticipate the share price will drift into the teens.

Excellent Interims, eps up from 0.4 p to 0.6 p. Could make 1.5p for year for a P-e of 6. Nav 11.7p per share. Take a look at www.pcfg.co.uk/research for comments by Westinghouse and Daniel Stewart. Happy to hold.

Well in my view - the upside is that Utilico transform this into a banking operation like Close Brothers (but obviously smaller) that makes a good return. The downside is that the future will be not much better than the past. Take your pick. I invested in the convertibles as it seemed a safer option with not much downside although they are difficult to get hold of. There's also a risk I suppose that Somers Limited take them private like they have with their loss making investment banking operation. I think Utilico generally make more good investments than bad, which is the only reason I bought into this.
