No surprise here. In the absence of acquisition the trend has been to sell on news. So when the trading update is confirmed in the results some people see this as the end of their trading time frame. this has been the trend with all shares for a number of years. This will stabilise around £4 (with the help of buybacks under £4) and resume upward trend after a hiatus. The game changer will be an acquisition though. The speculation on this BB on a takeover being announced today was more than unhelpful. The unknown is if the shorters have something up their sleeve. Hope not.

It's inaccurate journalism. Joel and the cfo always aim for low and allow two upgrades during the years. I agree it does not make sense to be over cautious but this it his style

I don't subscribe to ALNC news. But above the final results news release on the main page an ALNC news is headlined as

Maybe causing some of the fall?

But isn't the Lower growth rate simply due to the high growth rate last year due to he skrill acquisition?

If it wants to go down, I think the company should hold off buying back and let it fall until near the close and then hike it right back and more. Why give short term traders a profit at the company's and LTH's expense?

Would have opened at 450p.

A 'head & shoulder' sort of thing : left shoulder in Apr '16; head Oct/Nov; & the right shoulder now ? Always too easy to read the tea leaves wrongly, or right only well after it's happened. Still time for this to pull round, especially ,as Salpara111 suggests above,there's a stock-buying effort today, tomorrow etc..

Consensus from digital look was 41 cents for eps I believe so a slight beat.

I guess it depends on what analysts expectations were.
Personally I don't know what consensus was so hard to judge but if they don't start buying back stock in a big way today I just get the feeling that we will see the start of another down leg.
