As long as the market price remains above the offer price the Bidco cannot buy any shares.
They cannot buy above 590p, if the did they are obliged to increase the offer price.

Shorts closing imo to protect themselves against risk of higher bid. There can't be more than a few % of shorts left so I felt now was the right time to take the cash

Long term holder and I will hold on. No point in selling.Worst case, one gets 590 but very good odds on another bid coming in in the mid 600s so plenty of upside and minimal downside

Maybe there is a rumour of another interested party and BIDCO (and BODs) trying to out manoeuvre any counter bids Seems very rushed - as if BIDCO think they're may hit some resistance.Very very strange market reaction!

Well, I'm confused but then that's easily done. The BOD recommends the offer and yet the market bids the stock higher..I have no idea what that means other than the market could be bidding higher in anticipation of a higher bid

Something stinks here,
How can a possible bid of 590p be accepted by the board & the share price opens at 600p.
Either the bod's are being very clever (highly unlikely) or the market is clearly telling them - no way.
Will be interesting to see how many shares they mop up at this price!!

My other big suspicion to consider when you think whether to take the cash now is that the h1 results are perhaps not great otherwise they would have been brought forward as a bid defence. low double digit growth given such a risky sector is just not good enough.

I've never seen bids & the current share price higher than the said buyout. Clearly the market doesn't believe the deal will go through. But surely a dangerous gamble?? Buying at 600p in the hope of a higher bid only for the 590p to go through!What's people's view?

That extra 10p over the offer price gave me extra £2k...not to be scoffed at.But there could be a counter bid which will be painful if it transpires lol....

This is madness surely the only buyers are the bidco so to pay over offer price show they belong behind bars . if there is any justice this will not succeed . the only thing that makes me feel like selling is respect for EH9 view so far . Is there really no hope ?someone is paying to much so hold on ???

I'm taking the cash to invest in the next paysafe (weekend on Stockopedia I think!). 150% return worth far more than possibility of 10% more here!
