now that a fund managers and directorshave added to their holding - iwould have thought it safe to pile in - so why are poeple still think it will be volatile- help anyone and thanks to wolf yesterday for your insights

Well, got liquidated yesterday by the wild syntheticly engineered drop. Cost me deer as most of my trading capital gone. Still hold shares but feel I have been robbed frankly. Anyway, it looks to me that plenty small buys could be the smaller shorts closing? I guess the irony of getting wiped out is you can buy back (if you have any cash left) at amazing prices what is still a growing and profitable company.

Yes, melf I read that too - and a two day delay isnt there? When would we expect any short action taken yesterday - open or closed - to be published through the short report?

It's going to be volatile here for a few days, probably a great trading stock, big question is where will it be in three months time, QS I know your busy here PEL now starting to take off, GLA imho dyor

I think there is a time limit when shorts need to be reported. I'm no expert on this but I recall someone mentioning 3:30 today in a post on this BB. Perhaps someone can clarify.

@oohroger - perhaps no holders were perpared to sell stock at that price to the shorters to cover. Hence the violent bounce.

So why wouldn't those short positions be closed when the price dropped to 250p yesterday !!!

should see 4.00 by trading update on 12th and announcement of full year results date. will still be undervalued but this will rise back up slowly.

Shorters will have to buy back at some point to realise a profit. Can they force the share price down further, unlikely but who knows

spot on nurdin - I think it was your post that showed the bet365 paying agents which included amongst others

..were these shorted - no - why because they are too big to be manipulated by shorters.

sale of shares re EF was donkeys ago IMO. I think a big stonking director purchase all round would do the trick....IMO!

All that has happened is that,like me,you have been shocked by this unforseen event which has highlighted the risk involved.The company is no different from what it was last week with all the fundamentals intact.I am very overweight now and have no immediate plans to reduce...I think there is a nice ride up ahead.

Something no longer feels right here , the report while flawed raises lots of questions, What bugs me is the shenanigans used for directors to reduce their holdings like EF for example. I've reluctantly slice my overweight position , luckily my average is around 200p so it's a free carry .... let's see what time brings
