12/10/2018 09:37 | I have had dealings with a number of criminal accountants during my career. It has always amazed me how they can compartmentalise their lives as though nothing was wrong. Pillars of society while all the time stealing from charities and their clients. Turning up at board meetings ad presenting false figures or bank balances while all the time knowing that at some stage they will be caught. Sadly the penalties meted out by the judicial system have been light. even though lives have been devastated financially. | ![]() jonc

12/10/2018 09:36 | Arrested does not mean charged - it means there is reasonable belief that a crime may have been committed and the arrested party may have committed it. No charges will be brought until investigation can be completed which, in the case of financial wrongdoing, can take a considerable time due to the complexities involved. Presumption of innocence until proven otherwise but they didn’t hang around making an arrest- will more follow? | ![]() monte1

12/10/2018 09:12 | I get the impression that the Finance Director has not been co-operative in answering questions throughout this debacle. This will have delayed finding out what happened and the true extent of the damage. | danny baker

12/10/2018 08:25 | Sad they way some of these people act nico115 but we know it is commonplace these days. The amount of White Collar fraud is truly amazing, and the worst thing about it all, is that the regulators allow it with the help of the Courts and Government. No wonder there is so little respect for people in power. | ![]() clocktower
12/10/2018 08:25 | I think they will take the opportunity to prepack and get cheaper rents. | still waiting
12/10/2018 08:22 | Yes they are being wise after the event. Everytime I've been in one of these cafes it's been busy, despite being relatively expensive. No sign of trouble from the accounts either, a firm with supposedly plenty of cash. The auditors need to be looked at. I do hope Luke Johnson puts the money up and sorts the problem. If he tries to steal the company after administration he'll never be welcome again on public markets. He wrote an article in the Times recently about how to spot a fraud ... how ironic. I hope for a good outcome for all holders ... not their fault. | ![]() alex1621
12/10/2018 08:08 | Surely LJ isn't going to profit out of sholders demise by doing a Pre pack? He will say he is saving jobs but will be seen as if he purposely turned a blind eye so he could take all the company for himself ?That would sicken me | ![]() nico115
12/10/2018 07:45 | No position here and sorry for holders as no one wants to lose money this way. It is literally daylight robbery!Just wondering all these people popping up saying: 'how can you make so much money from selling cakes?' Where the hell were they a few weeks ago? Were they always making these claims or just being wise after the event? | ![]() allstar4eva
