Paragon. Knew I got the name wrong but brain wasn't cooperating and once you get a block on a name it becomes impossible to get it right.

Glad to see you've 'Parked' some cash here Diogenes :-)

Yes, saw 'Paragon' I think you mean Smow.

Rising interest rates should also help PKG and it does seem a much better run business in recent years.

They have a much weaker first half so still expecting a loss but should be improved nicely I hope.

Pentagon (?) brought out fantastic results the other day and are recommended as a buy in the telegraph today. Similar loan / credit lender. So hopefully these will also fly when the results come out.

Managed to get 14K at a reduced spread before close of bell. Reckon these will go well as interest rates rise - as banks and credits card companies will start to refuse to loan more money to people and call in debts. So people forced to turn to other money lenders to finance there increasing debts. Look well placed to take advantage.

Main concern for me is the silly spread currently. 9% !!!

Had a peep at this. Main concerns for me are the Negative equity and the current operating margin of 1%. Will keep an eye on things.

Moved up quite late today - a number of buys as the results approach - I guess watching buyers moved in when they saw the price tick up?

This is the sort of thread I like - dead quiet.

I've been buying these the last two weeks.

Have you seen the eps growth over the past 3 years?

(0.55p), 0.86p, 1.22p - that's very strong growth, 40%+ last year with 1.89p expected this year 50%+

They have started paying a divi again too.

They have announced they bought the loan book of North England today for £2.3m and added 9K customers.

Most recent statement suggests business is strong.

Interims due Dec 5th.

Got another 20K this am @ 26.5p

I wouldn't buy these shares, I've just been to the agm, there was a subtle hint of a profits warning with Park online, with sales not reaching expectations. some of the city boys I spoke to are talking 5p a share!!!, I think PJ will take it private, possibly offering around 25/30p a share. But banking on this is a gamble. all in my honest opinion, but DYOR
